I think it's clear from a surface level educated guess that they would have won. They had far more troops than the west and were in a good place to capture western Europe. At the same time they could break down imperialism and at least once the west's living standards plumetted then they would have much higher morale and war support. I am butthurt every single time I think about it that the Soviets and the socialist bloc denied us this war. All the more so when there was threats for nuclear exchange between Russia and America. The Soviets sought peace, ostensibly to avoid mass suffering and loss of life but god damnit we could have won and instead the present day is a hell on earth and we are still left with the threat of nuclear annhilation but over tremendously stupider capitalist competition bs reasons.
