Basically it’s a design where instead of having to kill a set number of enemies and then have the rest from the next wave with a brief pause, the enemies are constantly flowing into gameplay while the wave counter is increasing based on what was killed

This just means the pace of gameplay never actually slows down encouraging the player to make quick decisions along with ensuring every time a player gets close to finishing around they don’t have to search across the map for the last remaining mob

Also don’t be lazy like activision and DE and just make the enemies massive bullet sponges as waves progress actually design and make different enemy types

yeah that's a good idea. I'm trying to think of any games that do this and I can't. You sort of get seamless waves when you fight cops in GTA with a high wanted level, but that's not a wave defense game.
