I think capitalist countries are inefficient because the government ends up buying the vaccines from private pharmaceutical giants which want to protect their intellectual copyright as a means of extracting rents from taxpayers.

I think most of us take the China/Cuba/Vietnam position, which is to prioritize safety of the masses over profits. China has the only major economy that didn't contract in 2020 while managing to control the spread of the virus. You've been duped by Western media into believing there is only either the Democrat or Republican approved position that is subverted into the culture war.

If anything, the pandemic has revealed that liberalism is the Sick Man of the world.
