 No.143068[Last 50 Posts]

Today is the first day of the Trial. It begins at 9am CST.

Jury Selection took 12 days. 12/12 Jurors selected. (7 women, 5 men) 3/3 Alternate Jurors Selected. (2 women, 1 man)

131 Potential Jurors were reviewed. Some dismissed before being reviewed in court. Many reviewed in court. On March 17th, 2 other previously selected jurors were dismissed due to settlement news.

Supreme Court has allowed conviction for BOTH 2nd and 3rd degree murder. Also a conviction for 2nd degree Manslaughter is on the table.

Judge blocked motions from the defense on delays or relocation. Also ruled in favor of the state on a previous arrest in May 2019.

Floyd Family was given a settlement of 27 million dollars which will be paid by the taxpayers of Minneapolis.

The male alternative juror is the 15th juror. If all of the 14 previous jurors show up? Then he will be dismissed (He's pro-cop but passed for for cause.) If not? He's an alternate.

Official Swearing In and Opening Statements is planned for Day 1.

I will be hosting the trial daily until the verdict is read.

The jury needs to be unanimous and after what has been seen it's unlikely many or most of those jurors would acquit. 3rd degree murder or possibly manslaughter if they can't get a couple chuds to budge, but this seems pretty open and shut.

The wild card is after that witness gave (surprise) expert testimony they might call it a mistrial (Nelson is likely to motion for that).

Possible Mistrial
Witness #3 is possible grounds for a mistrial.
He was an eyewitness on location and coincidentally has expertise relevant to Floyd's death (an MMA fighter who understands chokeholds). He was allowed by the judge to use his expertise to explain chokeholds to the jury which makes it clear that Chauvin was performing at least potentially lethal actions on Floyd and also that he warned the police in the moment of the lethality of this behavior.

This could cause a mistrial because this witness was entered into evidence as an eyewitness (a bystander who saw events) but not an expert witness (someone with specialist knowledge who can inform the jury about relevant scientific etc details about the case). Him being allowed to explain his expert knowledge constitutes new evidence that was not available to the defense. This is potentially a mistrial because the defense was not able to prepare for this testimony (the whole point of having common evidence to both sides). However, this may not result in a mistrial as the judge is attempting to shut down any further expertise being used and advises the jury to ignore this information.

It is still possible that this results in a mistrial at some point in the future, even though they are currently proceeding normally.

You should never believe a coroner about anything. Coroners don't even have medical degrees, they're often if not always bought off by their local sheriffs, face no consequences for covering up suspicious deaths and it's not a coincidence that rural, poor and ethnic minority areas of the USA always use coroners for autopsies instead of medical examiners.

Medical examiners OTOH need an actual medical degree to practice, are trained in pathology and can lose their license if found to be corrupt and tampering with evidence in autopsies.

Btw, coroners should be outlawed 100% and only medical examiners allowed to practice.

Derek Chauvin (George Floyd's murderer) Trial
Day 15 begins at 9:15~9:30am. 3rd Day of the Trial
https://tv.leftypol.org/r/HappeningsviaKlash
>3rd Witness finished his testimony. He got into it with Defense Consul over looking at paper work without asking the judge. Judge excused this witness before either side was technically finished.
>4th through 7th witnesses were minors. 4th and 6th are 18 today but were minors last year during the event.
>4th Witness was the person who ended up going viral with her full recording.
>5th Witness was her family member who was 9 year old.
>6th Witness was another person that recorded using Witness 7's phone
>7th Witness was with Witness 6 that day and gave Witness 6 her phone.
>8th Witness was a firefighter that was trying to provide aid for George Floyd as he was dying.
>During 4th thru 7th Witnesses Defense Consul didn't really question too many things.
>However during the 8th witness. The defense consul started his game and started becoming irrelevant and purposefully but legally disrupt Witness 8's psyche.
>The prosecution is actually doing a poor job of checking the defense consul from their questioning and they need to be more strong about it.
>The judge isn't giving any favors to the prosecution either. Even when they had a successful objection he didn't want any arguments or sidebar at times. The judge is sus completely now.
>At the end of the day. The judge while on the record grilled Witness 8 heavily and she feels left out to dry.
>Also someone took a picture of one of the witnesses with Keith Eliison and the judge found out and let her go nicely after she deleted the picture. (She was a PR Representative for Witness 4.)
>We think the defense is going for a mistrial because they don't think there is any way to get a real not guilty verdict.
>The judge keeps ruling in favor of the defense from the outside looking in. It's frustrating really.
>Today was more wild than yesterday and it was only day 2 of the trial.

See the thing is , Nelson's (the cop's lawyer) arguments aren't arguments at all .I'm sure at some point he'll bring up Trooper Fupa Murdersmuch to explain why Floyd was one un-snuffed heartbeat from turning green and deestroying the city.So far however he has yet to directly address anything and seems to be unironically trying to score cred for the /pol/yp crowd.
At some point he tried to imply Chauvin was peer pressured by the crowd being critic of his murder into further digging into Floyd's neck. To get there, Nelson posed a hypothetical situation to a firefighter/EMT woman and no fucking joke here, he managed to fit in like three mentions of "breathing" unrelated to the question. All that's left at that point is to wink at the camera and flash a kekistan pin.

And apropos of that, he keeps asking witnesses if they were angry or upset obliquely chasing the idea that somehow it wasn't a crowd flabbergasted at outright slow premeditated murder , but a dangerous mob that put Chauvin on edge. He is so fucking lame however. It's like the judge has to find an excuse to stop the trial for the day every time he embarrasses himself and his client questioning a witness.

Stats seem to say 87 pph, which is a pretty pleasant amount. More posters doesn't equal good posting, and most imageboards start going to shit when there are so many people coming in from outside that the catalog changes every 10 minutes and discussion becomes vapid or spam-like. Being able to make a post, have someone take the time to understand it, and then write a response that addresses the points made in a coherent fashion is a lot more conducive to constructive discussion then one which posters feel the need to make responses right away or be lost in a flood of posts and new threads that either make the thread difficult to follow or kills it outright.

There won't be anything, the state has been reinforcing itself since the Capitol riots. And whatever happens will be a few peaceful protests here and there; so inconsequential that it will get very little coverage. While BLM wasn't a psyop, it was co-opted afterwards which means that whatever "leadership" for organizing exists will be not only half assed but less than that. The state has gotten more stronger and prepared for internal issues and it's taking steps to keep the peace. Forget the days of large scale protesting, even strikes will be policed heavily internally and externally. And also controlled enough that it doesn't cause much economic fuss.

You know, I guess I'm interested now in how much /pol/ thinks about us. Let's do the math.
Over the past 365 days, there have been 17,272 mentions of leftypol on /pol/. In this same time, there have been 63,509,977 posts on /pol/. Thus we can conclude that leftypol occupies 0.027% of /pol/'s brain, or almost exactly half the size of a standard M&M in a typical man's brain.

Unfortunately, it's clear that /pol/ doesn't do much thinking about leftypol. However, let's look at other popular terms.
"Jew(s)" appears in 1,552,462 posts, 2.44% of the posts in the last year. Inside of a brain this would take up about the same volume as half an ice cube.
"Nigger(s)" appears in a whopping 2,425,245 posts, occupying a full 3.82% of /pol/'s thoughts, almost the size of a large egg if it in were in a man's brain.
In the end, if we truly wish to live in /pol/'s head rent-free, we need to be more than half an M&M. Half an M&M is only one and a half calories! We need to be a meal, not a crumb.

Interestingly, knowing these ratios allows the creation of a handy new unit, which I will call the Leftypol. In this system, the less often /pol/ thinks about something, the more valuable it is.
1 Leftypol is equal to 90 Jews, or 140 Niggers. Each Jew is worth approximately one and a half Niggers (1.556).

Derek Chauvin (George Floyd's killer) Trial
Day 16 begins at 9am tomorrow. 4th Day of the Trial.
https://tv.leftypol.org/r/HappeningsviaKlash
>8th Witness returned and only questioned for a few minutes and she was done. (Firefighter)
>9th Witness was the former employee of Cub Foods who ended up taking the fake $20 dollar bill from George Floyd. The fake 20 dollar bill actually came from George Floyd's acquaintance. Not himself. That's why he didn't know what he really did.
>9th Witness realized what this situation caused however we don't blame him. Store policy makes the employees pay for counterfeit bills they take out of their paychecks. He would be looking out for himself.
>9th Witness said he would paid that 20 dollars instead of going through this.
>10th Witness was an black bearded old man who recorded the cops first contact with George Floyd when Officer Laine pulled him gun out on George Floyd.
>11th Witness was the old black man that saw the entire situation completely. It was an emotional testimony. We had to stop for 10 minutes because after they played the video. He was in tears and apparently so were jury members.
>The testimony of the 11th Witness was so emotional that even the Unicorn Riot streamer had cried during the break.
>The 11th Witness actually days before communicated with Derek Chauvin saying that he gets to go home safely to his family. Make sure the people you are dealing with get to do the same.
>After George died. The 11th Witness confronted Derek Chauvin before he left the scene and called him a maggot and reminded him that he gets to home to his family and that George doesn't not.
>There was a long break and then the 12th Witness testified.
>12th Witness is basically the head of IT for the police department and he's a lieutenant in the Minneapolis Police.
>12th Witness is testifying about how the body cams and street cameras work. However we had to watch all 4 of the officers' body cams.
>Officer Laine's (Officer near George's feet and pulled the gun on George) camera showed the most details while George died.
>Officer King's (Officer on George's body) camera showed nothing but he actually allowed George to sit down and relax for a bit before attempting to put him into the car but did nothing else.

>“When I saw the bill I noticed it had a blue pigment to it…I found that odd so I assumed it was fake,” Martin told a Hennepin County courtroom, The Daily Beast reported.

>Despite his better judgment, Martin accepted Floyd's suspicious $20. The teenager had a change of heart when he came to the realization the counterfeit would have come out of his paycheck.

>“The policy was that if you took a counterfeit bill, you had to pay for it out of your money,” the teenager said. Martin and a co-worker confronted Floyd about the $20, but Floyd refused to explain himself to the manager. Martin decided to call the authorities – something he would soon regret.

Day 17 begins at 9am tomorrow with Motions. 5th day of the trial.
Motions Friday Morning at 9am for more video evidence for the case.
>13th Witness was George Floyd's girlfriend. Apparently they both had opiate addiction due to a reliance on prescription drugs for pain management.
>13th Witness was very open about their joined addiction. They went through many stages and different experiences. The Defense tried to tear down George Floyd's character but failed.
>Through the 13th Witness's testimony we learned that George Floyd had two stable forms of employment until covid-19. He had chronic back and shoulder pain. He stayed in shape and played football. He had tested positive for covid-19 before the incident.
>For the most part we learned from his girlfriend that all the pain and complaints and excuses that he told the police before dying were actually true.
>14th Witness was the EMT that drove the ambulance. He didn't say much but they showed the video and images from Officer Laine's (Cop near Floyd's feet) camera while he was in the Ambulance. Also confirmed procedures with EMTs.
>14th Witness kind of foreshadowed that George was considered dead the whole time they had him.
>15th Witness was the EMT that was attempting to resuscitate George Floyd until they got to the hospital. He confirmed that George Floyd never had a pulse the whole time they were interacting with him.
>15th Witness did everything he was suppose to do and also never saw Officer Chauvin (Killer) or any of the other officer do any medical aid to George Floyd until Officer Laine joined them in the ambulance.
>15th Witness needed any officer because he was attempting to save George Floyd's life. Laine just so happened to be the one who rode in the ambulance.
>16th Witness was the Fire Captain of the fire unit that didn't end up in the correct location with the EMTs until much later.
>When the fire department arrived on scene the 16th Witness and his fire crew were lead incorrectly by the Cops into the Cup Foods when they were trying to assist with George Floyd's injuries.
>They were only informed that they were in the wrong location by dispatch across both Fire and Police's radios.
>Once the Fire Department met up with the EMTs they attempted to resuscitate George Floyd. He was still considered dead the whole time.
>16th Witness not only reported what happened but also filed a separate report based on the earlier Witness (Off-duty firefighter) about the cops potentially killing George Floyd.
>17th Witness was the former Sergeant of the former 3rd Precinct (It was burned down) during this incident. He is no longer a cop today.
>He confirmed that before the incident involving George Floyd that any use of force by a cop while anyone is under custody but doesn't involve an injury doesn't get reported to their supervisors.
>He also confirmed that not only he can judge the correct amount of force needed per incident but also confirmed that Derek Chauvin used too much force.
>He also confirmed that he didn't really take the call from dispatch too seriously until he was driving to the scene eventually and Derek Chauvin called him as he was pulling up to the scene.
>He also confirmed that once an incident goes critical or someone in custody ends up in the hospital it gets reviewed by the Internal Affairs.
>He also confirmed that the order of seniority of the cops were this: Chauvin (Killer) was the most Senior, then Thao (Crowd Control) , then King (Near the body of George Floyd) and Laine (Feet of George Floyd) were the rookie cops.
>He had a recording where he asked Derek Chauvin to get witnesses but Derek complained that the witnesses might be hostile after killing George Floyd.
>The state prosecution was way better today. They were more active and objected way more.
>They won a lot of their objections but the judge forced a lot of sidebars and even an argument that required the jury to leave the court room and argue with the 17th Witness on the stand.
>The judge is still throwing the Defense a few bones even though some of the questions to the witness aren't technically lawful.
>Nelson can't count and got walled a lot by every witness except the 13th witness. EMTs in particular caused him issues because he was trying to say they don't have the expertise to determine a deceased person which is wrong.

Day 18 resumes on Monday at 9am CST for Motions. 9:15~9:30 Trial resume time for the 6th day of trial.
>18th Witness was a Sergeant of the 5th Precinct. He was in charge of maintaining the incident scene for the 3rd Precinct Sergeant. (3rd Sergeant was at the hospital where George Floyd was at the time)
>18th Witness just confirmed he did his protocols with securing the scene and passing control to the homicide unit.
>19th Witness was a Lieutenant and leads the Homicide unit for MPD. He is also the most senior officer on the entire force.
>19th Witness confirmed that once he took control of the scene of the incident that he passed control of the scene to the BCA (Higher ranking unit for investigation involving officers in Minneapolis.)
>19th Witness was allowed to review the videos of the body cams and made it clear that there was no reason for the level of force used with George Floyd Adamantly.
>19th Witness battled with the defense lawyer and made it completely clear that the crowd unless they are DIRECTLY attacking an officer there was no threat involving their presence.
>19th Witness also said since 1985 he was taught by the police academy that putting anyone handcuffed in the prone position is extremely dangerous and explained that doing so will affect the way the person in the position breathes.
>19th Witness also said that the officers involved with George Floyd were also responsible for the well being of their suspect under custody AS SOON AS the handcuffs go on regardless of how the cuffs are on.
>19th Witness said the force used on George Floyd was COMPLETELY UNCALLED for and there was no reason for improvisation for securing George Floyd in this situation.
>Nelson got hammered on and the 19th Witness signaled that the Minneapolis Police Department are completely throwing Chauvin under the bus and they are going to try and save the other 3 officers.
>Rumors are that the Police Chief of Minneapolis Police Department will be testifying next week.
>The 18th Witness knew of Chauvin and Thao but his expression of how he would say their name was very unkind and it's probably why the defense didn't cross examine him as well.

There's a new wrinkle today. Nelson wants to impeach the testimony of the police lieutenant for lying on the stand about the knee on the neck not being part of training (it actually is). He wants to bring on more cops to testify that this is actual police procedure, which would be a win for Chauvin at the expense of MPD (who are basically doing damage control to scapegoat Chauvin alone and take the heat off themselves). The situation in other words is now combative between Chauvin's defense and the police department. It could get really ugly from here.

>Motions this morning weren't figured out today. Will be pushed to Wednesday Morning most likely.
>The jury was given a Schwartz Hearing to make sure they haven't broke their duties. No jurors dismissed.
>The 20th Witness is the doctor in the ER that attempted to save George's life. George was never responsive the whole time they were working on him. The doctor declared him dead 30 minutes AFTER he arrived at the hospital.
>The 20th Witness was never given any information about why George was in cardic arrest and they called him 30 years old. (He was 46 when he died.) The cops >never gave information to the EMS and the EMS had no good information to give to the hospital.
>The 21st Witness is the Police Chief of the MPD. He pretty confirmed that the entire MPD was forsaking Chauvin and proceeded to run the bus over Chauvin so blatantly that we have a new theory on what the defense is trying.
>We believe the defense is attempting to pin the blame on the actual training Chauvin did. If they do this, they forsake the entire MPD and training of cops while getting >Nelson acquitted. It looks like Chauvin is willing to burn the blue line to get free.
>Nelson (Defense consul) hammered the chief on the training questions but the Chief declared that all the factors involving with Chauvin ultimately kneeing on Floyd for over 9 minutes was against what he was trained.
>The 21st Witness had the longest testimony of anyone so far in the trial.
>The 22nd Witness is an Inspector and she is not only active as the 4th highest command within the MPD she active in the National Guard. She was previously in the Army, SWAT team and served in Iraqi. (She's a straight up killer.)
>22nd Witness was previously a Commander and then demoted and then promoted again. She actually joined the SWAT team before actually becoming a police officer. (Military background) She has a specialty in gun crimes. (Shootings and such)
>While she was a commander, she in charge of all training, police academy of MPD, the Training Center and anything else with training for police in Minneapolis.
>She mostly confirmed all the training Derek Chauvin (Killer) would have had at the time he killed George Floyd
>She at the end threw Derek Chauvin under the bus completely as well but the defense wisely didn't really cross examine her that hard. Only asked 2 irrelevant questions.

Day 20 resumes 9:15am for the jury, probably earlier (probably 8:30) for motions tomorrow. 8th day of the trial.
>Motions focused on witness Morries Hall, the passenger in Floyd's car and source of the counterfeit $20 bill. His lawyer (public defender) argued that because he may be charged with 3rd degree murder for Floyd's death.
>Because of how the law works regarding drugs, Morries Hall could face 3rd degree murder charges over his proximity or involvement in Floyd's drug use if Floyd's death is ruled as caused by drugs.
>In other words, if the drug defense works and Chauvin walks, another black man who happened to be around could end up convicted for the murder instead.
>1st witness today (23) was an MPD Crisis Intervention Coordinator Sgt. Ker Yang. He testified that Chauvin was trained to recognize and appropriately handle situational or psychological crises.
>His testimony included retreading the MPD critical decision making model others have explained as the basis for police actions to ensure they behave by the book.
>2nd witness (24) was MPD Lt. Johnny Mercil a certified "use of force" instructor. He went into depth on protocol regarding escalation and de-escalation. TL;DR Chauvin was off book and unjustified in how he handled use of force.
>MPD policy regarding use of force is to continually re-evaluate the scenario and look for opportunity to de-escalate if possible. They have a whole protocol for knowing when to escalate and de-escalate that Chauvin ignored.
>While he said that neck restraints are within MPD policy, what Chauvin did was outside what the policy includes. Defense used bad camera angles to argue Chauvin was on Floyd's back not his neck.
>3rd witness (25) Nicole Mackenzie was MPD medical support coordinator who trained officers including Chauvin himself in medical first aid including CPR. MPD officers are supposed to render medical aid.
>According to the training Chauvin should have ceased restraint, checked vitals, and administered CPR to George Floyd, even before he became unresponsive. Floyd's cessation of response to pain indicated the non-responsiveness that requires aid.
>MPD officers including Chauvin are equipped with Naloxone to intervene in an opiate overdose. If Floyd's death was caused by fentanyl OD, Chauvin would still be responsible for not administering Naloxone.
>4th and final witness (26) Jodi Stiger was an LAPD Sgt. and nationally recognized use of force expert who has reviewed approximately 2500 use of force cases.
>He testified that Floyd resisted arrest as the police attempted to place him in the vehicle, but after he was on the ground he stopped and the officers should have de-escalated, but instead continued and escalated, against policy.
>Nelson (main defense lawyer) is still pushing the drug angle HARD and asked the witnesses about a bunch of hypothetical scenarios involving drug cocktails, including medical effects or causing resistance against the cops.
>The defense finally started objecting to the drug questioning (since none of it had anything to do with Floyd) and the judge sustained, shutting it down (eventually).
>Today we had many sidebars, the defense often interrupting testimony about Chauvin going against procedure and the state interrupting Nelson's drug storytelling.
>Nelson's gambit is likely to fail given instructor testimony today. Nelson wants bring more instructors to say that Chauvin's methods were part of his training, but the police trainers have all denied this and maintained a "clean" look for MPD.
>The state is almost finished with their witnesses (all of them have been state witnesses so far), meaning the defense will begin calling witnesses next. We will soon see how Nelson's plan plays out.
>So far all the MPD cops have been continuing to throw Chauvin under the bus almost unilaterally. Very little of the testimony could be a problem for the state's case so far.

Hello, frens!

I'd like to remind you of the fact that as with most of US-related "official discourse," including the so called "official" BLM-related judge-shit, this thread, it's content, it's end result, etc. is literally MEANINGLESS.

Think about it for a second. Fact: a black person was brutally executed by the police, and now it is being quote-unquote """JUDGED""" right now.

I mean… Are you literally retarded, supposed comrade? Why the fuck would you even drool over this shit? If you have a systemic understanding of capitalism as such, moreover, an understanding of the American """JUSTICE""" system, you'd know in advance that this is a sham.

I feel depressed by you fuckers, for real… I feel even more depressed by "black" people who have ANY kind of "just expectation" from this charade, for real.

Nigger, (and yes, I do mean the radicalized n-word here), just think for a second, holy fucking shit. Do you actually think that this cracka-tier system will give you (and by extension, all of us, as humanity in general) a "fair" sentence? Are you for real?

I'm SO fucking disappointed with any and all so called "lefties" who livestream the literal justification for oppressing the US blacks. This is literally the thread for it.

I'm about to vomit.

On this front, your post is certainly one of the most useless and reads like the thoughts of someone just discovered how to use lib as an insult after reading the chapo reddit for five minutes.  No.157933

Day 21 resumes tomorrow at 8:30am for motions. Jury starts at 9:15am~9:30am. 9th day of the trial.
>The 26th Witness returned to continue his testimony. He made his point from his long time experience of reviewing use of force cases that as soon as they had George >Floyd in the prone position on the ground. Use of force was very questionable.
>Nelson (defense consul) attempted to make a point that the crowd is a dangerous threat but the witness turned away that admission.
>The 27th Witness is a BCA (Bureau of Criminal Apprehension) Special Agent for the state of Minnesota. He oversaw the entire investigation of this incident once it became a critical incident. He has experience with being with the NYPD, DEA, and others.
>He continued throwing Chauvin and actually the other officers under the bus but he was very firm that he saw all the information including some not seen in the case.
>Nelson tried to do some slick shit today. He had a video clip that was heavily chopped off and was trying to implying that George Floyd admitted to taking a lot of drugs while being in the prone position.
>Nelson tried to trick the 26th and 27th witnesses. The 26th witness wisely said that he couldn't focus on what George was saying. The 27th witness was tricked actually into saying he agrees that George Floyd said, "I ate too many drugs."
>The prosecution brought up the full clip and it turns out that George Floyd was saying "I ain't got any drugs" but the way Nelson clipped the audio. We couldn't determine it.
28th Witness was the main Forensic Scientist who specializes in DNA testing. She was basically in charge of checking all the forensic materials in both the squad car and the SUV George Floyd was driving.
>While they found drugs and a weed pipe in the car. We also found few packages of suboxone which is used to help get off of opioids addiction. Changing the character story of George Floyd. He was trying to get off addiction.
>She also confirmed that George Floyd did have drugs in his system and had pills in his mouth at one point while being forced into the car.
>She explained the rest of the process of doing forensics and no cross examination
>29th Witness was the local forensic chemist for Minneapolis. She did find fentanyl and meth in the pills but she didn't examine the pills enough to know the completely makeup of drugs in the pills. Nelson cross examined but failed to prove his point.
>30th Witness was the outside source forensic chemist for this case. She examined the pills completely. She was to conclude that while the fentanyl levels of the pills are normal for street drugs. The meth levels were extreme below street drugs levels.
>30th Witness was not cross examined by Nelson.
>Nelson today looked very sloppy and unorganized. Looks like he needs another person within the courtroom to assist with his work.
>Nelson is still bad with technology and also got ASSISTED by the prosecution today because he had wrong law section for a point he was trying to make.
>That Bus is doing doughnuts on Chauvin right now. Law Enforcement of Minnesota is bringing a conga line of buses where Chauvin is being thrown underneath.
>While the prosecution had a great day. We must remember that the blue line is still being protected.

 No.159980

Day 22 resumes tomorrow at 9:15am. Could be motions at 8:30am. 10th day of the trial.
>Witness 31 is one of the world's leading scientists and doctors of breathing. His works and textbook are the core foundations of the last 46 years of method and understanding of breathing.
>Witness 31 basically gave us a lecture with lots of visual aids to keep the jury engaged and broke down the completely situation where we learned more about George Floyd's actions as he died from lack of oxygen.
>Witness 31 is essentially the god of breathing. He is world renowned and there is currently no one more knowledgeable about breathing. He completely proved why Officer Chauvin is guilty and even opens the door for Officer King getting convicted.
>Witness 31 explained that George Floyd turning his neck, lifting his shoulder and his hand and fingers were his body making last desperations of attempting to breathe.
>Witness 31 proved there were no signs of drugs being the cause of his death. He broke it down completely.
>Witness 31 also completely explained with mathematics and physics that George died from lack of oxygen as well.
>Witness 31 despite being one of the world's best experts in breathing didn't asked to be paid for his testimony and research on this case.
>Witness 31 is an Irish man that practices, researches and teaches in Chicago. He was also involved with covid-19 treatments in Chicago. Pretty based Irish man. Protect him.
>Witness 32 is an outsider source forensic toxicology scientist.
>Witness 32 did find drugs in George Floyd's system however the levels of the drugs were below average per people who are either dead while with drugs in their system (not all are overdose cases.) or arrest for DUI of opiates.
>Witness 32 explained his process of how they do their reports and testings.
>Witness 33 is a police surgeon, Viagra prescriber (Dead ass), and a living forensics doctor. He has tons of past experience in forsensics, emergency rooms, and other trauma centers.
>Witness 33 is from Louisville, KY. We might see him when the federal case involving Breeona Taylor's boyfriend begins. He is also part editor of 4 textbooks for forensics, strangulation and pathology for living patients.
>Witness 33 has enough experience dealing with users of drugs that he can make a determination of someone who is a regular or chronic user of drugs and alcohol.
>Witness 33 declared that despite all the drugs in Floyd's system he mention almost exactly the points that the 31st Witness mentioned including the hand and finger movements that George Floyd died due to a lack of oxygen.
>Witness 33 actually believed that George Floyd had NO oxygen within his body at the time of his death.
>Nelson had his worst day of the trial so far. He lost a lot of arguments with the witnesses and the prosecution. He was wearing down during the day.
>Nelson continued from his disorganization from the day before and attempted to blame not receiving an exhibit that was updated TWO day before and sent via email. The judge cut him so many breaks today. Without the judge he didn't really win any objections
>During the 31st Witness testimony Chauvin called for a break before the judge called for it and had to beg for most of his objections via sidebar.
>During the 32nd Witness cross examination he realized he didn't get the updated exhibit for this witness. He clearly overwhelm by this case and needs more assistants working with him in this case.
>During the 31st and 32nd Witness testimonies. He has having issues with his voice dying and he was coughing significantly as well. Nelson's health is deteriorating before us each day.
>During the 33rd Witness he was trying to imply that the drugs and george's heart condition was a favor when in fact there was no sign of a stroke or heart attack during the incident from any forensics person.
>Nelson continues to show why he's trash with technology. He was trying to blame the pdf file formats for why he didn't have the right exhibits before realizing he fucked up.
>Jerry Blackwell is the best prosecutor right now from the state side. However we can't give him a based or chad nod because in he past he allowed 3M to get out of cases involving dumping shit into the ecosystem and also causing things like asbestos, etc.
>Chauvin might be considering suicide if Nelson has another disastrous day like today.

 No.161582

Day 23 begins Monday at 9:30 for the jury. Motions in the morning. Could be at 9am~9:15am for the 11th day of the trial.
>Witness 34 is a forensics pathologist and the former Medical Examiner of the Minneapolis. She is now a consultant.
>Witness 34 explained how forensic methods work and what they can determine and not determine.
>Witness 34 came to the same conclusions as the regular medical examiner. She believes while George Floyd had drugs in his system and a concerning level of heart disease, he wouldn't have died unless that incident would have happened that day.
>Witness 34 also mentioned the facts that yesterday's witness 31 (God of Breathing. Irish doctor) brought up with Geroge's body attempting to breath
>Nelson (defense consul) cross examined Witness 34 and they got to the topic of how the prone position isn't dangerous by itself. He got extremely out of context and he brought up sitting on a church bench with a baseball underneath someone's butt.
>Nelson tried to sneak in a fact about how Canada's police force have never had any deaths involving the prone position in 2020. Witness 34 sarcastically told off Nelson so badly he had to object her answer as an unresponsive answer. Judge sustained.
>Witness 34's quote: "Isn't that A-Mazing when you consider that virtually every forensic pathologist in the US has probably had an officer involved death like this? How did they? IT honestly baffles me.Which is why I kept mentioning Canada because I don't know what they do differently." In a very sarcastic response.
>After that quote Nelson stopped mentioning Canada statistics and Witness 34 pretty much just checked out of the tesitmony.
>Prosecution had a great rebuttal all of Nelson's points and Nelson really couldn't establish many of his points he made during his cross examination.
>Witness 35 was the actual medical examiner of Minneapolis for this case and examined George Floyd's body.
>Witness 35 explained everything including George Floyd's heart condition which was in poor condition but clearly wasn't the reason he died.
>Witness 35 essentially explained that despite the heart condition, drugs and his condition. If Law Enforcement wasn't involved on that day. George Floyd would be alive.
>Witness 35 was an extremely strong and focused witness with the cross examination. Nelson during the first half of the cross examination was really shut down completely because he was redirected by the Examiner that different questions weren't his field.
>Nelson couldn't gain traction until he brought up George's heart condition. Nelson did finally gather himself and had a good finish of the cross examination.
>However the prosecution had a great rebuttal once again and shut down Nelson's attempts to make George Floyd's heart the main point when it in fact the main point is that Derek Chauvin and other officers were the cause of death.
>The examiner declared that none of his findings and his assessment would change. George Floyd's death was a homicide from the medical point of view and nothing could change that.
>The judge had a ton of breaks today and decided to let the jury go home early. We were ahead of schedule last week. We are now behind schedule today. The state continues to call witnesses on Monday.

If he was slipping into unconsciousness and had enough fentanyl to render him lethargic, why did the officers take him back out of the vehicle after arresting him to then put him on the ground to kneel on him? What would be the point in taking a nearly dead man back out and then exacerbating the problem placing him in a position which would almost entirely ensure that he would die before EMTs arrived?

Let's assume /pol/'s version for a second, in which Floyd dies of an overdose, and put that into context with the evidence provided. So the order of events would be:
>Police arrive on scene to a call in regarding a counterfeit bill and apprehend Floyd with little struggle.
>According to /pol/'s view, Floyd already has a lethal amount of Fentanyl in his bloodstream, meaning he is likely lethargic and on the verge of falling unconscious.
>At around 8:20, the police place him into the back seat of the car.
>Then, inexplicably, they proceed to take him out of the car and lay him prone on the ground.
>At this point we can assume he has already progressed further into his overdose and requires immediate medical attention.
>Instead of placing him into a position which would assist in the flow of oxygenated blood to the rest of body or prepare to engage in CPR, the officers utilize a manuver which is inconducive towards preventing his condition from worsening and in fact exacerbates it.
>This is done after and during Floyd making statements regarding his ability to breath and other bystanders remarking about his condition
>Floyd proceeds to die before treatment can be administered, with the officers not providing any basic treatment themselves.
How exactly is this better in /pol/'s view?

To elaborate, China had ceramics, gunpowder (and crude hand cannons with said gunpowder), paper making, better plows, and silk production before the Europeans did. They had developed cities with cosmopolitan culture and shitloads of trade on the southern coasts of China, making China an integral part of the Indian Ocean trade networks that connected the Swahili coasts, the arabic world, and the asian world.

Just because China broke apart a few times doesn't mean that Chinese civilization had none of those things. Did French Civilization die out instantly when the Nazis conquered them? No, since civilization goes beyond the mere states that wish to control them.

China and India have been cultural juggernauts for quite a while and only had a setback in that with european imperialism. Modern day china is reversing that trend as we speak. To say that China or India have not historically been cultural juggernauts because they have not always been united under one state is a bit strange.

The major American black genres were born on the fringe of society – work songs, gospel, the blues, hip hop, and yes, jazz – and were only exploited by the culture industry after they gained prominence on those milieus, which is how the industry works. What media do you like that you think is somehow more independent from the culture industry than black music? Do you only read books from before the 19th century? Do you think modern recordings of classical music are free from industry influence?

 No.165872

Day 24 begins Tuesday at 9:15 for the jury. May or may not do motions. 12th day of the trial.
>Motion in the morning was about Morries Hall, the passenger in Floyd's car. He is on trial for 3rd degree murder of Floyd due to MN drug laws. Judge accepted that >5th amendment applies and testimony here would be incriminating. He won't testify.
>Witness 36 was a cardiologist from Northwestern University. He runs multiple programs for cardiology.
>36: mportantly, high blood pressure is not a heart condition and Floyd had no evidence of any heart problems. In fact evidence indicated he had a very strong heart.
>36: Floyd did not die of a heart attack or anything like it. His heart stopped from a lack of oxygen in his body.
>36: The evidence from Floyd admitting himself to the hospital after taking 8 percocets in 2 hours showed no side effects and therefore a very high tolerance to opiates in general.
>36: He also showed no signs during the murder of being affected by fentanyl, in fact he showed the opposite per the cardiologist.
>36: The methamphetamine played "no substantive role at all" due to such a low level in his system and compared with the context of his death.
>36: Floyd's death was "absolutely preventable" and there were "several junctures" where intervention could have saved him, including the prone position, as his condition clearly worsened, and when he lost consciousness.
>36: Because medical prospects worsen by 10-15% every minute, Floyd should have been released from the hold and received CPR as soon as he was found to have no pulse.
>36: "Had he not been restrained in the way he was, I think he would have survived that day." Nelson: "So if he got in the squad car, he'd be alive."
>Witness 37 was George Floyd's brother Philonise Floyd. He gave a very brief testimony for sympathy of the jury. It focused on George's character and included stories about his role in the community and mourning the loss of his mother.
>Witness 38 was a law professor and former cop. He was an expert witness in the legality of use of force by police (previous witnesses testifying to training but not legality).
>38: After Floyd was on the ground he was well in control and there was no call for continued or heightened use of force since he was no threat at all.
>38: Given that another officer, the bystanders, and Floyd himself strongly indicated Floyd's medical distress, Chauvin was definitely aware of this no matter where his attention was and should have acted appropriately.
>38: The cop saying "This is why you don't do drugs, kids" and other behavior showed the police were ignoring protocol to de-escalate with bystanders.
>38: Once again, the kneeling on Floyd's neck was clearly excessive force and not protocol (although it is actually part of training so that's a lie)
>Nelson had no viable strategy today. He keeps looking for angles and getting blocked by witnesses. He has nothing and can't work a PDF, meanwhile the state had an interface that walked through the timeline of Floyd's death with embedded video clips.
>State witnesses should be done now, with defense witnesses beginning tomorrow. Closing statements are planned for monday to give the jury the weekend off. After closing statements they will be sequestered for deliberation.

This is more embarrassing than the cumo sexual libs. Ultimately it doesn't matter if Derek gets off or not. Riots are happening anyways and he'll be hunted for the rest of his life.

Always hilarious to see people go so far left they end up on the right again. Perhaps we need a term for what concept you've just discovered? Realistic Racism? Race Realism? Something about reactionary genes that make black people DESPITE ALL THEIR HISTORY AND SUFFERING STILL SUSCEPTIBLE TO… their environment.

Here you go

Speaking of dumb memes, I was watching the trial yesterday and the breathing expert had to explain that pressure on you neck does chock you. Just reminded me of that "le air tube" pol meme where they deny understanding how breathing works now.
