Everybody here is concerned about the /pol/lacks and shit but it seems like a new enemy of the left has arrived, cryptocurrencies and the WSB GME thing as a whole have convinced millions of people that they can invest into the market in order to stick it to the man. It seems like this and not any bullshit that pol espouses is what will cause the final death kneel to the left as a whole. 40k lumpenized the generations before the Millennials and now Cryptocurrencies will help secure liberalism as the ideological head for a long while still for the young.

Thats true but the cryptos aren't post capitalist magic. Eventually when the market crashes they will crash as hard as stocks will.

It's the illusion that the market will save their lives, you could reasonably still buy into it and still make money from just jumping onto bitcoins even today still.

All the "keeping it real" commies always make me laugh. So what's the acceptable road to financial security for a true dyed in the wool commie? Work in a broom factory? If that doesn't work, become a tenured college professor/youtuber?

The people doing this shit are /biz/ anons and your local 27 year old realtors and shit, literally just the younger versions of qoomer schizos, not a significant number of people at all.

This is the moronic thread we have every week: "GUYS GUYS THIS OBSCURE NICHE FORUM OF PEOPLE ARE TURNING TRAD/CAPITALIST ITS THE END OF THE LEFT ALL ZOOM ZOOMS AND MERLENNIALZ WILL TURN RIGHTOID"

it's stupid. The people with disposable income, who didn't need to use their stimulus payments on rent and shit are upper middle class suburbanites, the prime reactionary demo already. This isn't a sea shift its just PMCs porking out and profiting from the pandemic.

Alright son I am not a financial advisor this is not financial advice but here's what I'm doing as much blue collar temp work as possible since steady work is rare on the ground these days and blue collar temp pays better than white collar temp I'm looking after my peeps and making sure none of them end up homeless if they'll let me help them no matter how it hurts my pocket keeping an eye on digital yuan because it has all the advantages of bitcoin as a store of wealth with none of the disadvantages and hoping I have enough left aside to buy the dip next crash and ride the US govs desperate inevitable face saving poomp so I can buy the ex missusess homes outright and get a decent nights sleep without worrying that one of thems can't afford rent ands been turned out onto the street by fucking capitalism again and feel bad about asking me for help so don't

their real problem is finding people willing to trade a large amount of memecoin for real cash, not an easy thing to do at scale. in some cases its really being rich in name only because they can't find enough willing buyers to cash out 2 billion in bitcoin or w/e

The only thing I would ever invest in ever if I was betting on an economic crash would be gold because unless we start harvesting that shit from asteroids it will never not be useful. Maybe its best to store it in small portions instead of in huge bars so you could give a dude a few crumbs of shiny rock for bread.

Why do you all act like you can't sell? Stocks are the easiest asset to liquidate. Why would negative market trends hurt me at all?

Damn, I hate to be like I'm a sexist "bros before hoes," but yeah, I'd rather invest in bros. I mean most bros I've invested in have been practically worthless, but still way better than women. From my experience bros will help out in times of need, women look at you like "how do I get this broke ass son of a bitch to go away as quickly as possible."

>What's your plan you reckon? let's compare notes you sound smart mebbe you got a few good ideas

The Yuan thing sounds good, you can also invest directly in The Chinese government investment firm.

Crashes don't necessarily matter, what really does is concentration into fewer hands, and that's a principle of any sort of most forms of money or asset to my understanding. Crypto isn't an exception, maybe there's some obscure tokens that work counter to that by design but I can't call any to mind.

Concentration into fewer hands? Something I like Monero for, is that it's moderately resistant to this due to how tokens are mined, different from Bitcoin. To my understanding not just any poorfriend can mine with their craptop however even if the bar is lower.
