I don't know any people any more who unironically say two state is best. I think partly this is because there is no chance a fair two state solution will ever occur without a literal police action in Israel or something of the sort. The other major part to it is the relative success of the South African struggle which didn't result in a two state solution either.

There won’t even be a two state solution, let alone one where palestine takes over the entire region. A lot of ML parties resort to pragmatism over idealism with the Israel-palestine conflict because they have the tendency of not wanting to look wrong or be on the wrong side of history, or something to that effect. Some of it is also because they view a one state palestine solution as antisemitic which tbf it kind of is.

Realistically, how do you destroy one of the most militarily powerful countries in the world? The Palestinians have tried every form of resistance and it failed. Now that Israel is getting a lot closer to BRICS it’s not like multipolarity is going to free Palestine at all.

Plus, there are 7 million Jews between the river and the sea. Haredi birthrates are higher than Palestinian ones. What happens to all those people? Are they supposed to be deported? To where?
