These issues extend all over the United States, as much as the upper class may attempt to deny it. The solution given to us is one of Black Capitalism, Queer Capitalism, and Female CEOs; but such things never worked for the poor of the cis heterosexual white males, the majority of which remain poor to this day – why should we, as minorities, ever expect it to work for us? The simple truth is that this malicious “Class Collaborationism” is nothing but a farce to get us to put our faith in our oppressors as if they will sympathize more with us than with themselves as a class. Thus, we must reject Black Capitalism, we must reject the “LGBT Community” and Feminism, for they no longer have any use for us. Ellen Degeneres has nothing in common with a homeless gay teenager who was kicked out of his parents’ house at age 15, Oprah Winfrey has nothing in common with an impoverished black child in Atlanta, and Hillary Clinton has nothing in common with a female prostitute in New York’s red light district.
A simple fact of American politics is that identity politics is constantly used to divide and conquer the working class, the exploited and oppressed among us, by using misinformation and psychology to prevent us from working together to overthrow the shackles of Capitalism and achieve better lives for ourselves. One example of this is that the inefficiencies and failures of the labor market are often pinned on foreigners, namely Mexican-Americans, as an excuse to drive down local wages and prevent workers from demanding better conditions, “or else Mexicans will steal our jobs”. Ten years ago during Occupy Wall Street, people began to question why wall street investors are so rich in comparison to everyone else. The OWS movement began to question why finance, insurance, and real estate, dominated our economic system, and why the rich were bailed out while the average person starved in the 2008 recession. What happened to Occupy? It was, of course, divided and conquered – the discourse began to revolve purely around the identity of the protestors.
