On guns in general, people will have to accept that they will be restricted once high stage socialism or communism is achieved. Yes, they are useful to fight reactionaries, but once the revolution has been cermented across the world firearms will be more dangerous than useful for a number of reasons. I know they might be fun to shoot, but the risk to other humans is too great for a recreational activity.

Also I have no idea why you think they banned knives because they didn't. The only crimes are drunk and disorderly and drug dealing. The only way you get into knife crime is if you actively try to get into the gangs. In fact the only time I have gotten into a knife confrontation was in Mexico because I'm autistic. Trust me there is a lot you can do in a knife fight but if someone points a gun at you and wants to kill you you're dead. Mass knife attacks don't happen against adults but mass shootings do for a reason.
Knives also have uses outside of fighting and killing. They are very useful tools even if roadmen don't use them that way. Guns are only used for killing. If you want to hunt then a bow does the same thing but is 10x less dangerous and can only be used effectively by people who know what they are doing otherwise you aren't going to shoot enough arrows to be useful. Supporting firearms is such a petty individualist idea. All the points you bring up are just trying to justify why you should be allowed to keep dangerous weapons for fun despite the very real threat the presence of these weapons have to the community.
