Can anybody here redpill me on the DPRK's political process? From what I understand, it is a multi-party democratic parliamentary system and they host regular elections. I've been told that Kim-Jong Un is the supreme leader / dictator for life, but from what I also understand, hes only in control of the army, and that the actual president is Choe Ryong-hae, whom holds the title of "President of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea". I just want objective facts and data, any resources on the history of the DPRK, any economic data (scarce as it might be), or any overview of their political system. Any and all information available would be appreciated.

What if
Just maybe
A country of millions of people
Cannot be run
Get this
Cannot be run by a single person
And that the North Korean government is split between multiple divisions of bureaucracy that are run by different heads.
That all work together to ensure the state of North Korea is ensured economic development and security

No, clearly Kim Jong SATAN runs the entire country with a wave of his hand through EVIL mind control, therefore we have to invade Venezuela for their oil.
It's just common sense!

If someone does wish to update, I recommend adding the appointment methods on the right side to contrast with the left side.

B-b-b-but that's just for appearances! All of them report directly to Kim in his evil volcano lair, and they're just following his exact orders! And then they shoot them with anti-aircraft guns if they do anything he doesn't like! Or sometimes just for fun!
It's true, Radio Free Asia told me so!

>multi-party
Is that really valid to say?
You could say the US is technically multi-party, but it's called a two-party system regardless and 3rd party effectively doesn't matter.
DPRK looks like a one-party system.
The symbol of the WPK is effectively used throughout.

yeah afaik you better be extremely careful about shittalking the king in thailand… is criticizing "the monarchic system" also illegal ?

also, the kim basically serve as figurehead iirc. Kinda like the queen for UK, except they don't also own half the lands and palaces.

>Meanwhile the king is worth billions
Who? The King?
Who would have thought.
Who does he think he is?
The King?

>Hell I could get in trouble with the law for saying this.

That's lèse-majesté.

>>667099
>also, kim basically serves as a figurehead like those other royalty
Does this really help your case?
Most royalists have no problem with this.
The dictatorship / autocracy supporters are a minority in those circles although somewhat vocal

>Kinda like the queen for UK

Workers Party of Korea vs Church of England

 No.667136

Obviously it's probably not a literal one man dictatorship considering those are actually extremely rare. That being said it's probably a mistake to take their official structures at face value, since power can often be wielded autocratically by the executive even with such structures in place. Remember that Rome was on paper a "Republic" until like the 3rd century CE.

KJU is head of the WPK
& WPK has a broad majority in the SPA.
They probably do as party members.

>you better be extremely careful about shittalking the king in thailand
You don't have to go as far as Thailand for that kinda shit, try EU member:
>In March 2018, Hasél was convicted by Spanish Special Court Audiencia Nacional in Madrid to a two-year prison sentence and a fine of €24,300 for insulting and slandering the Crown and using the King's image (for which he was ordered to pay a fine), for insulting and slandering State institutions (for which he was also ordered to pay a fine); and for the offence of glorification of terrorism, being aggravated because it was a repeat offence, for which he was sentenced to seven months imprisonment in one song lyrics and in 64 tweets.[
