Proletarian Ethics (spooked edition) Anonymous 2022-01-03 (Mon) 22:27:16 No. 672655
1. Devotion to the cause of communism, love for the socialist homeland, for the socialist countries. 2. Conscientious work for the good of society: he who does not work does not eat. 3. Everyone's concern for the preservation and enhancement of the public domain. 4. High awareness of public duty, intolerance of violations of public interests. 5. Collectivism and comradely mutual assistance: each for all, all for one. 6. Humane relations and mutual respect between people: a person is a friend to another, a comrade and a brother. 7. Honesty and truthfulness, moral purity, simplicity and modesty in public and private life. 8. Mutual respect in the family, care for the upbringing of children. 9. Irreconcilability to injustice, parasitism, dishonesty, careerism, money-grubbing. 10. Friendship and brotherhood of all the peoples of the USSR, intolerance of national and racial hostility. 11. Intolerance towards the enemies of communism, the cause of peace and freedom of peoples. 12. Fraternal solidarity with the working people of all countries, with all peoples. -The set of principles of communist morality, included in the text of the Third Program of the CPSU, adopted by the XXII Congress (1961) Remember how the USSR believed that the the Soviet system would either result in or require the creation of the "New Soviet Man"? The New Soviet Man supposedly embodies the principles above and holds all relationships as fraternal, his coworkers are his brothers, an elderly woman who needs to get across the street is his mother, the children of the USSR are his children, and so on and so on. To me this is the logical application of Engel's position on the family and its required "abolition", not to destroy "family" as a concept but rather to expand the concept to the point of creating a familial society. The USSR however, is dead, and while the KPRF and Communist youth organizations still exist, there is no Comintern to the direct the Communists and the class conscious workers towards the building of Socialism. What I'm getting at is that the ethical authority that governed people who believed truly in the cause of socialism is gone, leaving modern communists in a miasma of choices with no direction. Personally I admire the idea of the New Soviet Man and I'm disappointed that as an archetype he seemed to die with his country (which is only fitting for him, I suppose). I do however think, that there isn't any reason that Communists can't conduct themselves like this again. Call it "lifestyleism" or "larping" but I prefer to think of it against the temptations of the capitalist world, a world constantly attempting to addict you to dopamine rushes and literally thousands of substances, a world that indoctrinates children with commodity fetishism. To expect alienation from Capital to do all the work in making someone a communist is absurd, you already know this, however to expect the clinical writings of Marx to make someone a communist is also absurd, there must be an ethical shift, a system of values that changes the person. >egobot: you're just creating a civil religion based on spooks<Yes. >christbot: if you want to act ethically follow liberation theology and the ten commandments<the principles above are based on dedication to the ethics of socialism, a real thing waiting to be built. The ten commandments are based on dedication to god, who solicits loyalty from humans through the transaction of entering heaven after being a good boy, also probably not a real thing. So how should a man, knowing the lies and crimes of capital, and believing in the cause of Socialism, conduct himself in 2022?

>>672667 >Can't it be valuable to develop code for yourself and your fellows What you call codes appear organically they are never imposed. If you wanna see efforts to inculcate "communist morality" watch at the self defeating stuff like Gorbachev's anti-alcohol campaign. It's idealism and cringe.
