I need to do so much """"adulting"""" and sometimes the window to do it is between 6 pm when I'm properly off work and 8 pm before shit closes. That doesn't factor in that after work I'm exhausted.

A lot of the things I need to do are unnecessarily complicated to the point they are cruel. Take taxes. I've filed taxes in several countries. Given that its such fundamental activity you'd expect that there would be plenty of help to file them. Quite the opposite. And of course all tax laws are always extremely confusing and ambitious, and uses insane jargon that you need to learn somewhere, who knows where.

I fucking hate doing these things. I'm trying to get gas for my home. It's winter. I've been at it for a month and a half. The back and forth is insanely slow. Ridiculously cruel! I need heating!!

And there's just more and more of these things. The idea that you work for 8 hours, relax for 8 hours, then sleep 8 hours is utter bullshit. In reality, you need 1 hour minimum before work, 1 hour lunch, also the commute to and from, and right after work there's no time to rest, you have to get all these stupid shit done. Afterwards you better have energy to cook. You did buy grocieries right?

I don't get how people manage honestly….

Also, 8 hours working, plus 1 hour lunch is an insane amount of time. In places where I've lived, many office jobs also work on Saturdays too.

I have a pretty bad kratom habit. I have done so many other drugs, but this one has been the most difficult to quit. My girlfriend and I are doing really well, and we are planning to shack up in the next few months, but she said she won't until I am off the kratom. I don't know what to do. I have tried tapering and tried going off cold turkey, but I can't will myself to do it even with the stakes right now. Going to rehab for fucking kratom would be stupid, and I can't even afford that. Maybe I will do a 7 day inpatient detox or something. The life I want is getting closer and closer, but I can't get out of my own way. Feels bad man.
