Like being considered anti-christian from your views and critique of the religion is laughable socially very few outside of most ardent christians would even care of such a label being put on people. Islamophobic can get you some push back but people still will regularly call ordinary Muslims terrorist tropes, make fun of their idols and what their literature says and it's socially fine. Then you have Judaism. Am i incorrect in saying that socially once you are perceived as anti-Semite it is very costly for you? Seems to care a larger burden

I dislike both the Jewish religion and Israel and I've made no secret about it, but none of my Jewish friends get angry at me for saying that. I think that, usually, people can tell when you're being hateful and when you are just expressing an opinion. Same with blacks, they can tell when jokes go too far and start getting mean-spirited even if they can't put into words where the line is.

>>685093 Yeah, if you listen to them. The thing is, antisemitism is not anti-Zionism. One can argue that Jews and Muslims can coexist under one banner, that is the state of Palestine. So can Christians.

There are jewish atheists. Jewish libs, neolibs and neocons making fun of or lashing out on religious orthodox jews isn't uncommon either. The apartheid state of Israel, fascist zionists, zionism in general, the Israel lobby and the jewish bourgeoisie e.g. jewish bankers are taboo though. Judaism is connected to Israel, so it benefits from the Israel taboo and catches less flak than christianity and islam, plus it's a relatively small religion and does not try to convert.

Memritv is an organization ran by Jewish Israeli intelligence officers to manipulate what Muslims say with mistranslations and make them look bad.
You think a Muslim could make an organization like that and put videos up of Jews and get it supported or a Christian?

>>685050 You know what's also funny about this? The worst and most despicable stuff people criticize Christianity and Islam alike for comes from the Noahide laws (stoning adulterers, killing gays, killing non-believers, the massive sexism, etc and etc…), but if you dare to point it out you're labeled some evil anti-semite.

>Why is critiquing this religion so taboo today. Well obviously the long term persecution has stigmatized the act of criticizing Judaism, plus the fact that people still believe in anti-semitic conspiracy theories about for example the Rothschilds keeps the stigma alive. Criticizing Islam has become stigmatized as well actually. At least here in the European country I live in.

Most people in the world are Christian or Muslim so I think if you're one of those religions you need to have a thick skin about criticism. At the same time if someone is a member of a minor religion like Mormonism or Judaism you've got to let them vent a bit.

>>685050 Because Christian Zionists and Jews have a large disproportionate representation in the system. Their catch-all definition of anti-Semitism is unironically anti-Semitic, by calling simple criticism of Israel and the Jewish religion anti-Semitic, you will cause people to overlook actual anti-Semitism and sympathize with anti-Semitism tropes and myths.
