On a serious note, things aren't looking good for antifa. If the feds really do decide to crack down and start using conspiracy charges against antifa, then everyone at a demo could be jailed. Cops could stage false flag attacks and anyone in the general area could be convicted for whatever the undercover does. As for this comrade, he will probably be roughed up a little and receive a lengthy prison sentence. He should have had a better plan in place and a support network or decided not to engage in that sort of adventurism at all. It sucks, I sympathize with him.

When Republicans are in power the progressive align bourgeois media, NGO's etc are in full sympathy, essentially utilizing ANTIFA as useful idiot shock troopers, same as they do BLM & Antiwar groups. When dems are in power they turn back to repressing them. You're not going to get off easy carrying a bomb, but he likely would have gotten a lighter sentence and some degree of media/public sympathy if Orange Man was still in power. Man's probably going to get the domestic terrorism treatment, not fun times.

Having no social media presence at all arouses way more suspicion from the bourgeois state/private corps than having even a spergy radical one. If you're sperging out saying dumb shit on facebook they're just going to assume you're incompetent most of the time. No social media presence at all and they'll assume you're some kind of psycho or competent radical.

Actively participating in social media is a trap but it probably isn't a bad idea to create a normie facebook/instagram account, befriend some family/friends and use it exclusively like once a week to post normie religious memes & funny cat videos or whatever. Won't fool the state if they're seriously onto you for whatever reason but it'll insulate you from private actors & look better to employers, etc. Your mother/grandma/aunts/normie cousins will probably feel better about it too, they won't be worrying that you're some kind of radical terrorist or a serial killer that the talking heads on the news are always telling them to worry about. If you're worried about facial recognition use a shitty quality picture of you from when you were younger (bonus points if you take a blurry picture of a physical photo from your phone in shitty lighting conditions, lots of boomers do this) or a picture of a cute dog or a popular basketball player or whatever.
