With all these sudden unexpected changes regarding the community, there is a lot of confusion going around. All these splits and offshoot websites can get confusing, this chart should help clear up all the misinformation.

It's the other way around, leftychan's faction controlled the leftypol server while the .org jannies controlled the domain.

This, edit your revisionist shit OP.
The watermelon junta also controls the twitter and the github repo, expect a long lasting cold war between both sites.

Their site already has less than half the PPH than ours, and none of their reforms have come to anything, I wouldn't get that hyped up.

They have the burger general and a small but loyal fanbase that hates Caballo for some reason. expect this to become a North Vietnam vs South Vietnam situation.

No it's not the same website, they are different websites run by different people but they both aspire to be the "legitimate leftypol" they're similar because the code behind the scenes is 90% the same.

leftychan is actually the "original" leftypol that was "stolen" by a couple (3 or 4) of rogue mods and changed the domain to "leftychan", the rest of the mods kept the original domain (leftypol) and made another server to replace the "original" server that was taken by the rogue mods.

I would consider leftypol (this place) to be the legitimate leftypol and the leftychan site to be a rebel site run by a couple of wreckers, but that view may vary depending on who you ask.

The other website is leftychan (dot) net but it gets wordfiltered here to lower their traffic. When they split off they cloned all the website data so it's identical up to the split, and after that the posts and some of the website's code diverge. Leftychan.org just redirects here IIRC.

We copied the content from leftychan (originally leftypol) to provide a basis for our new/old site yes. However they have diverged in the last 2 days will continue to do so.

People can use both websites if they choose though I would hope you pick us ultimately.

There is some ideological difference with leftychan attempting to do some kind of semi-incoherent 'democracy' that also gives ultimate control to the admin. They also think we're all radlibs and we think they're too soft on nazbol and conservatism.

I believe we will prove in the end to be the superior choice.

>I will read it just a few questions first they literally stealing the exact threads too with the same exact pictures?
A lot of the pictures and shit are the same because the leftypol (this place) team started using a backup copy of the server contents or something, it was like a time capsule from last week and a lot of thread continued from there.

>Also wouldn't people just use both website?

A lot of people seems to do that yes.

>What are the differences between the two?

This site kept most of the old (and IMO more competent) mods and devs so it should be more stable and well moderated, leftychan moderation seems to be lacking right now because they're 4 guys.

Are there different rules?
Leftychan seems to ban avatarfags and soyjaks but according to the mod logs they stop moderating for long periods of time (3 or 4 hours)

Different ideologies?
They're both "leftist" boards, make of that what you will.

Which one is cooler?
This one IMO.

The old posts will get bumped off the board eventually but we made a lot of effort to import them because otherwise the place would feel empty and everyone would be sad to lose their posts. It would definitely make people upset.

Remember you can always use a different theme on each site to help you to keep them straight. IE a dark theme on one and light on the other.

To clarify, the tech team heroically coded a scraper to scrape the post contents of their site (through the public facing side of the website) onto our blank server.

More like you got a bunch of crypto-conservatives with a martyr complex. Radlibs exist, but they've barely ever been a problem in this community. No, treating trans people like human beings instead of shouting DEGENERATE and MENTALLY ILL at them isn't being a radlib. It's being fucking normal. I've seen what passes for "free speech" etc from your camp and you faggots are the real reddit, specifically stupidpol.

He left at that point, zul brought in two people who were trusted members of the community to talk to the mods about the dysfunction in how they were running things. Some of the mods refused and threatened to kick zul out for this. Seeing that the mod team was in a crisis, zer0 empowered watermelon to reform things so that people stopped leaving and being kicked out. Caballo took the domain hostage to try and stop anything from happening. When that didn't work, they decided to split.

Complete revisionism, you should be banned for this but I hope you don't so people can see how stupid you leftychanners are.

It's tradition, also pretty much everyone knows that faggots are accepted on this board whereas trans people is bit more contentious. If you want the right to use slurs for trans people in a friendly way, then fight for greater trans acceptance until the idea of oppression of them is considered a joke.

I'm calling you a faggot for acting like a faggot, i.e. calling people degenerate because you don't like their gender. It has nothing to do with being gay. I don't care who you fuck. There is no justification for spewing unironic bigotry on a website about communism.

80 years after his murder, his ideals are still valid, even socialism always
Stalin and his successors did terrible damage to communism, and the state capitalist powers will not let the seed of socialism germinate so easily again. Faced with so much anti-communism, Trotskyists have the titanic task of convincing the worker that Trotskyism is the way. Luckily, there are attempts at union between different Trotskyist parties of different nationalities that are coordinating methods to slowly recover the ground that was given by red fascism
