Vote: On the creation of /lounge/. This board is intended as a comfy off-topic space which is more moderated than /b/ (or /siberia/) to create a social atmosphere. The board will be run through the /roulette/ system to test its viability, with the performance judged by mods after one month.

This is not intended to remove posts which rephrase another post in a derisive or mocking manner (with a soyjak or not) as these are a time honoured form of criticism. Exceptions may be made at moderator's discretion for 'unique' or custom-made soyjaks.

This rule will also target soy OPs which have little or no 'useful' material, even on /b/.

I vote in favour. Though I recognise this board is not needed as much with a new moderation strategy for /b/, I also think there is a lot of dispute over the issue of porn on /b/ (or /siberia/), and so lounge could serve as a porn-free alternative.

I think we should first consolidate /b/, setting there more precise rules about what can go and not go there and moving that board beyond being merely /leftypol/ dumpster before creating a new board that might be similar in many respects. Moreover if a /lounge/ ought to be created then it should go through a /roulette/ like process to permit user input and gauge if there is any actual use for it.

This is what I had in mind, but I couldn't find the right words to convey the idea. Basically ban any soyspam that is directed at the userbase of leftypol as a whole from a non-leftist point of view, since this is often the work of tourists that came from certain sites. It goes without saying that things like picrel are to be deleted immediately, but other times they're not so obvious.

Like others have already said, soyposting is not always bad or annoying, but only sometimes, like when the fingerboy thing was popular and it was so nonsensical that it made others laugh, or when they asked which soyjak was our favorite, or when they started posting the soyjaks with fruit and other things on their heads for no reason, or my favorite which was the delinquent soyjak; it wasn't meant to mock anyone in particular or annoy the fuck out of everyone here, it just looked funny (even though in essence they're still caricatures of "soyboys").
