Hello everyone. Welcome back to the second week of the proposal system. To see last week's successful proposals, please go to the voting topic for this week. We have these proposals which failed last week, that perhaps we should discuss again this week:

Once again, I must clarify that ONLY MODS CAN ACTUALLY VOTE ON PROPOSALS OR VOTES. Anons are free to have their say and offer suggestions and feedback to improve proposals/votes but these are only advisory and user votes are not counted for official decisionmaking. But who knows, a persuasive enough argument might sway the mod team to your cause?

Please reply to this post to post proposals for consideration next week. If a user proposal seems like a good idea, we may adopt it and make it official. Thanks everyone. You can read the cookie vichan sets yourself in the browser debugging in 'Inspect Element', then go to storage (there's only one, 'serv', which vichan uses to tell Javascript on your browser if your post successfully posted, unless you are a mod which gives you another one to allow login and once used for checking updates or something) by viewing it in your browser. You can prove yourself our site does not set more under any circumstance. Furthermore, you can actually read the contents of the 'serv' cookie. It's literally just the current thread URL and ':true/false' if your post worked or not. Same for every other vichan imageboard that didn't do stupid shit.
It might be possible for this cookie to be replaced with regular local storage if you consider it a concern, I haven't looked into that code yet so I can't say for sure.

I'll say nay on this, if mostly because a lot of the variance is based around if we think they are an average user (clear or mostly clear ban log for the past month or so, their post history, the offense done, ect ect) to usually make bans for percieved users shorter than other people. Of course it can have false positives but its probably the best way to do it while remaining anon.

It might be a good idea to establish general timeframes for some offenses though, but nothing totally official or binding.(WVobbly)

This feature may currently be found in the [Options] setting in the top right, then enabling the relevant checkboxes, then placing the mouse over an image. A page refresh may be necessary.
