Post songs that make you cry (any genre).

I love the vibe and always have. So pretty, so sweet.

Not a song but a series of albums.
Even just the first song makes me cry.

Her voice always brings me to tears for some reason.

Don't know why but this TikTok jam makes me sad. Probably because it sounds so similar to the indie music I remember chilling with my homies to on Boston rooftops and walking around Harvard Sq. back in 2008-2013. Those days are long gone now.

Cried when I first heard this one, ngl.

tfw you get a moment of respite from life's chronic maladies.

basically every interpretation of this song

Holy fuck this is making me sad.

Why does the music get stronger on one side and then on the other? It's making my head spin. Please write something like "Hangover warning" in your post next because in my current state this isn't giving any kind of sad feelings, only nausea.

first 4 minutes or so, i dont like the direction it goes after that

This is actually a Japanese revamp of an old Irish ballad called "A Pretty Girl Milking a Cow".
This version hits me differently for some reason though.

Pretty much anything with Regina Spector, but this one specifically for some reason.

Always touch a nerve in me

Glory to the Red Army

Beautiful song in an endangered European language (Breton).

reminds me of a commie girl i had a brief thing with

Reminds of this song. Also, related to thread especially since the lyrics of the song are incredibly existential by reminding you that not only does everyone die including you but that the society which you are in has not and will not exist forever as human societies have risen and fallen for thousands of years.
The song does by going over the history of the land which is currently inhabited by New York City beginning around the time it was inhabited by the Lenape Indians which is referenced in the tile to the future after the city stops existing.
It's incredibly bitter sweet to think about as such changes are eventual and can be for good as well as bad. The song also also reminds you of how small humanity and its societies are in the grand scheme of the world.

This entire album is a masterpiece.

I'd post the Brel original, but I don't know French.

Jeff Lynne wrote the entire Eldorado:A Symphony album in response to his father saying ELO's music was trash. At the time, ELO was mixing hard rock with cello scraping and they weren't very popular in their homeland the UK.

I honestly cannot understand people who listen to music to cry.

Musics purpose is painting time with emotion. Sometimes we want serenity, sometimes anger, sometimes sadness. Dont knock it if you hide from some emotions

So what kinda music do you have in your playlist anon

I think I just kept happy music because I was scared to keep sad things around and now I have difficulty crying, How do I get it back anon

What's a song that's guaranteed to cry
