Millenials/Gen X with the ipod. Before that everyone used cheapo over ear phones. I never used earbuds because they sound like shit. It's physically impossible to produce good bass waves on a speaker that small.

I've been using pic rel for over a decade. I picked them after hearing a soundcloud page where someone played a song out of a bunch of different headphones and recorded it and they sounded the most neutral to me. Even better than the more expensive Audio Technicas. Seems like I keep seeing more people use them everywhere. Downside is the plastic hinge is weak as fuck. I still need to fix mine… I found a reddit page where someone uploaded a cad file of the hinge to 3D print it because I guess it's happened to enough other people.

koss porta pros have a similar style and are still produced. They're well rated by the audiophile scene for what they are, but I'm not really sure how to objectively measure headphones performance.

…? iems isolate outside noise better so you dont need to compensate by turning your volume up unlike, well, all the headphones that were posted itt

i searched these both (they look very cool)
and this is the only retro headphone i can actually afford

i need to get on my sigma grindset to buy these

>>5292
but aren't they still dangerous cause they're going all inside your, near your ear drum

like what level of volume to keep, would be safe?

1-5? 10-15? they should let us choose with decibels instead of generic volume keys

>aren't they still dangerous cause they're going all inside your, near your ear drum
that is irrelevant, what matters is volume levels like with everything else plus how long you listen to stuff at a given volume
you couldve spent a few seconds looking this up instead of making this dumbass thread
