Every woman near my age I've seen in this city, even my sister, act like manchildren, or womanchildren I guess. You have to pay for their meals, pay for their shopping every week, drive them around, handle their problems, attend to them like they're your pet, but they just… sit around looking pretty I guess. Yeah, pretty much like a pet, that's about the same as my dog, though he has much lower upkeep than a girlfriend, though girlfriends at least don't make you scoop their shit. There's something really wrong with the North American culture surrounding women, it's like they've kept the traditional gender roles in a mutated way. It's still men are providers, women are dependents, but the women don't cook or clean and do chores anymore, in fact I'm pretty sure these girls don't know how to cook, so now they just expect "princess treatment". Fuck this shit, maybe I should go to Europe or China
females (but also males so not an exclusive men thing) in my family. behave like actual children when they should be taught to not me stubborn or live independently. at least from my dad’s side of the family anyways. i feel like this is also an exclusive anglo as well cause i’ve seen latin american moms that would still cook, clean, etc. but that’s probably also because im latin american too, but yeah you should probably visit europe or asia, because patriarchy in north america is just messed up and now even weirder. not like patriarchy is a good thing to begin with anyways.
It really has been gender roles for thee but not for me. Maybe its rose tinted glasses but even in the 2010s it felt like the whole girl boss liberalism at least aspired to do away with those even if that didnt happen in reality. Now it's just fuck you you will do everything and get little in return.
I don't know if it'll be better in china though, lopsided gender ratio and all. In general it seems like a lot of Chinese parents in the cities spoil their children even if its in a slightly different way than here, male or female
