On the 22nd of July, a 24 second video began circulating of a man naked on a bathroom floor masturbating before another naked man quickly takes a cleaver to his neck and decapitates him in seconds splattering blood across the room and leaving his body in a pool of blood. He utters "I'm cumming" immediately before his beheading.

Shortly after, a new 73 second video appeared from the angle of a camera on the floor besides him depicting the same decapitation. They appear to be talking to one another but audio is missing from this video.

Earlier, on the 8th of July, a batch of photos began to spread depicting the process of his dismemberment, culminating in what looks like his heart, kidney, penis, and other body parts getting cooked and plated with some chopsticks. The dish resembles the Vietnamese herbal stew "hầm thuốc bắc" which features red dates (táo tàu) and goji berries (kỳ tử).

Judging by the photos, multiple people were involved in the butchering. While nothing is confirmed, it's likely the victim volunteered to have his life ended in this manner as a consequence of some extreme fetish. In the video, you can also observe how he moves his head to further expose his neck at the same time.

The motive behind the killing was mutual sexual gratification. The future sale of the content was secondary.

What little biographical information we have about Dat comes from a person who knew him previously.

BLANK claims that Dat was born in 1989. According to a birthday post left on his page, his exact birth date was the 10th of March, 1989. This corresponds with the date of birth on his Zalo.

This person also told BLANK that he met Dat in November of 2024 at the Phung Khoang market in Hanoi.

He apparently worked selling sea food on Lane 30 at the aforementioned Phung Koang market in Hanoi as well

It was also shown that he apparently lived in Hà Đông in Hanoi.

He, of course, developed an extreme interest in being beheaded by 2020. By 2022 he displayed interest in homosexual activity.

He had two Facebook accounts:

The second bio: "Likes guro hentai: decapitation + sex. If anyone shares the same interest, leave a message."

The profile picture on the second account is probably not him, but it is his account.

He went by "datbeheading" on various social media accounts.

He had a Wattpad account back in 2018, indicating his interest in being beheaded as early as that year.

He also apparently had an account he used on a hentai site, at one point requesting a copy/translation of a decapitation guro hentai

He went by "datbehead" on forums looking to hook up with gay guys in the area, frequently sharing his phone number

Dat's profile on Zalo (a popular messenger in Vietnam) gives a date of birth of 10th of March, 1989, with the bio "love behead"

Interestingly, Zalo accounts are deleted after 45 days of inactivity, so someone other than Dat had access to and used his account within the past 45 days

A leaked Facebook chat with someone involved in the killing shows a new picture of the victim before his killing. The two appear to be discussing the final steps in performing the execution.
