I'm not sure how many are true believers and how many just passively consume his stuff through short form slop because a lot of it doesn't seem to be his Nazi segments but admittedly amusing stream clips. It's always been hard since the irony right became a thing because since 2016 you've had said true believers but also a lot of people who just repeat their memes without much critical thought or intention. I think any generation of debate addict would like him because he gives debate addicts a unique-ish flavor debateslop on a regular basis, adding to the assortment of debateslop available to them at any given moment.

One could argue that zoomers got his the hardest with centralized social media and algorithmic social media in particular, but I think every generation got hit hard and consistently enough over the last 15 years that the difference is marginal to negligible.

The flaw in your way of thinking is that you assume what's popular on the internet is based on merit when in reality it's based on astroturfing and manipulated algorithms. His billionaire backers want him to be popular so he is, it's that simple.
