This shit is actually just like battle shonen tier maturity but because it they are violent they are seen as "adult". In fact many shonens are so much more emotionally complex (or mature) than these dark super hero slop comics and TV shows. Invincible is the worst of all, it is just boring and meaningless past the first season with the main character just power scaling. It is Bleach tier.
The Boys TV show also sucks and so do the comic, though I think the comic can be excused since it triggers super hero fans so hard lol. I like how all the superheroes are killed in pathetic ways and I wish there was media where that happened to all the Marvel and Washington D.C comics heroes since that would cause so much seething. Still doesn't make it a good comic.
The superhero genre was already subverted with Watchmen and everything after is not actually subverting it but acting in line with the genre. In fact Devilman is way way better than all this shit and that was from before dark superheroes were even a thing. The Evil Superman trope is stupid and so is "edgy" batman. I hate it all.

Invincible is crap. It's in this uncanny valley where it's neithre full-blown 'good-faith' marvel slop nor a good satire. It tries to be edgy but it's not the satirical edgy like The Boys, that can be considered a parody on the entire superhero genre, but a gory and try hard one. In a sense for me this is actually worse than classical marvel stories. It's just lame violence, with a shitty and lame deus ex machinca plot, horrible power scaling. It's pornography. It's gore. It's crap.
