Going to switch MATE or Artix fully tbh.

>A lot of PC's lack the requirements necessary to run it Not really, you need 4gb of ram,a 2 core CPU,and UEFI motherboard exist since 2000,if you're talking about webcams or that kind of stuff,it's microsoft pressuring laptop manufacturer to include them on all the machines running it. Also no,because every retards when you start asking about Linux start throwing random distro names at your face,or tell you to use Arch because they're autistic.

It's more complicated than that
You need new CPU's (intel 8th gen and above) and TPM 2.0 (a lot of newish laptops don't have that and tons of desktops need a separate TPM chip and the prices have skyrocketed).
I have a recent PC with 1st Gen AMD Zen and it refuses to install Win11.

That and benchmarks show you lose frames on Windows 11 compared 10 on low end hardware due to the sand boxing feature.

I don't think it will really push anyone off who doesn't already have a foot out the door. I feel like anyone with a computer that can't run it probably doesn't care if it's supported by microsoft & other people that need a laptop will just buy one that has it preinstalled.

Nope, never will until my employer updates their office computers. I'm anti-capitalist, so FOSS at home.

there's literally nothing autistic about Arch
Gentoo yes but Arch is fine

Arch is a meme, most users use it as a meme, just to be able to say "i use arch btw"
Anonymous 2021-10-11 (Mon) 23:57:14 No. 12073
Correct. Arch devs are literal autists who at some people didn't even understand why a distro should sign its packages.
>>11956 >every retards when you start asking about Linux start throwing random distro names at your face
There's no "official" Linux distro, which does have some advantages, but instead we have oversaturation of distros and most of them quickly die out to be replaced by even more of them. At some point there will be more distros to maintain than users to use them. So it's unavoidable that when somebody asks about Linux, people reply by recommending this or that. Wouldn't call it retarded, it's just the reality.

Hearing that Win 10's support will be ended by 2025 was the final motivation for me to switch Linux. Haven't looked back since.

There's an easier way, just use the newest rufus, there's an option there to create a bootable drive with all those retarded checks disabled.

I wish I stayed on win7 when 8 & 10 came out so I'm gonna stay on 10 for awhile. I tried Linux but it was always an effort to get things to install.

I don't find installing modern Linux any harder then Windows though I've been doing this since the 90s when Unix and Linux was much harder to setup.
