I suppose how likely this is to work depends on if they've headhunted you or if you've just seen a job you really want to apply for.
You could also just try playing it off as serious anxiety and preferring to communicate in text, but they're probably going to take your name and picture for ID purposes won't they?

You can get away with isolating parts of your life from one another if you're consistent. Keep work interactions, emails, communications as simple and washed down as possible.
