Do you think that Luigi Mangione is the Robin Hood of today’s standards what you think you’re just an angry young shitlib or do you think you’re actually accomplishing something by killing off the United healthcare ceo

>>2100979
He did propaganda of the deed and was mostly successful of winning the support of the underclasses except for boomers but what he did wasn't really revolutionary but he did increase contradiction and raise class consciousness

>>2100979
I think he became a spam, spreading on reddit, and every other forum from clogging lolcow.farm, to fitness boards. By killing the ceo he managed to bring awareness to the problem like never before, and by putting a face and a "robinhood" story he "humanized" the topic, bringing into everybody's life, and forcing people to form a stronger opinions on a cause.

He has literally saved hundreds of lives if not thousands of lives when he made United approve most treatments for a while due to the bad publicity as documented by numerous social media posts.

How many lives have you saved again?

All good points so far but this one >>2100989 stands out IMO. It probably wasn't Luigi's intention, but the chilling effect he had ended up saving a significant number of lives. He inadvertently did the Trolley Problem IRL with health insurance. And if people in general realized the cause and effect of kill CEO -> treatments get approved, he would DEFINITELY spawn copycats because so many people have loved ones who have had care denied.

I don't think he did anything tbh

Long live our lord and savior Lulu ?

>>2100979
He accomplished more for the people than the entire North American Maoist movement has ever done in decades.

>>2101014
The highest achievement of American Maoists is getting drained by hookers

>>2101015
Mao himself wasn't any different, his biggest achievement was dying so china could heal from his boondoggles.

He killed some guy who didn't own the company he was mad at, who was then replaced in two days. Just like stealing from the rich to give to the poor. It's also very revolutionary and people aren't just looking at it, saying "lol," and then moving on with their day.

>>2101042
Stop glowing so hard, it's hurting my eyes.

The fact that this happened right after the election is fucking perfect. I think it radicalized a lot of people against liberal democracy and we'll see the effects of that over time.
who would win
<millions of people organizing, advocating, and voting over decades and decades
or
<one hot bisexual with a gun

>>2100979
He's robin hood but on top a martyr. Propaganda of the deed is dumb and generally ineffective and in terms of utility of a lifetime, very inefficient. However, propaganda/advertising does work and I think it was a strong propaganda message. It doesn't advertise "start reading Marx and joining communist parties" but we live in hell and this is the best we can get.

tbh the takeaway might be that propaganda of deed is more effective now due to social media and the attention economy that comes with it.

There's plenty of reasons to think he was framed and didn't actually shoot Brian Thompson (e.g. a careful look at security cam pics of the masked guy), and that the latter was assassinated to cover up an insider trading case. Someone clearly didn't think of the massive support Mangione would get, remember mass media and porkies alike seemed genuinely surprised and upset at the support and quickly went full damage control afterward, with media narrative switching to the drone bullshit and then coverage of Luigi dying out after he plead not guilty

He saved a lot of innocent people's lives by also making it lame to shoot school kids.
