Things are heating up? edition

https://archive.ph/DJ38dStudents and other citizens, sometimes joined with farmers, are regularly blockading traffic at this. Currently there's a 24h blockade going on in one of the Belgrade highway knots. Here's a live
https://kamere.24sedam.rs/?grad=beograd&kamera=2&naziv=autokomanda-fransFrom a class position, the students are mostly what you'd call middle class. Higher education was made less accessible to the workning class in Serbia and they make up some 10% of the students. It's interesting from another perspective, because the students are organizing via soviet like structures, their demands are very classically petty-bourgeois (uphold the state law and institutions!!) reflecting their class position. Students are practicing "consumerist" general strikes. They're not in the productive sector, but it's still economic pressure building up. Now they're blockading traffic in the busies knot. It's a disruption in the flow of capital in any case.
They've distanced themselves from the bourgeois opposition in Serbia's pairlament and have been called a color revolution by Russia and the EU! They have even distanced themselves from all European NGOs! It's like a 1968 on steroids - I think this really is a situation the situationalist internationale hoped to have lmao. As a cherry on top, the reactionary city of Belgrade is executing progressive policy (like free of charge public transport in the whole city of 2 mln peoole) in hopes of calming the protests down. Even the middle schools are in blockade! Like some 95% of univeristies are now in blockade. In the middle of it all, a retirement home burns down and kills eight people! It's utter chaos.
>>2130057that demand was originally free education and it got pegged down because the students felt as though they were asking for too much (ridiculous)
now the demands have become more of a slogan for the opposition and the protests, and my estimate is that there is no room for new demands, and that we are going the route of shuffling the deck so to speak
it's no longer our fight, it was for a short moment but the liberal parasites were quick and now the trajectory has changes
not a bad lesson for the future tho

I wonder who's coming to his rescue first, East or West.
>>2130435opinions differ, most popular belief is that Russia+China equaly bad as EU+US (because they vaguely support Vucic). Also because most of people see Serbia as exploited by both sides, but liberals of course want EU to take lead.
The question of Kosovo in the eyes of liberals is for the right wingers and clerical fascists - in other words if you are for integration of Kosovo you are automatically pro Putin conspiracy theorist who hates the LGBTQ.
The idea of anti privatisation remains in good favor, but without Kosovo it's impossible IMO.
>>2131330Sad je vreme za samo kritiku i da ucimo lekcije kako da se integrisemo bolje u buduce proteste
>>2132624Its a surprising step in the right direction, hope we can get it to be free
Although I am skeptical about Sinisa fulfilling this point - more pressure should be applied
this is maybe a good time to start some agitprop against liberalism since we are still going in the direction of DOS 2.0
a funny situation is occurring - some western loyalists have emerged recently on twitter because it has been revealed that all of the computers used in the justice system in Serbia have been donated by USAid(s)
