My best friend recently announced he’d stop talking to me because I’m much less right-wing than I used to be back then, and that he only wants people who agree with all of his (frankly insane) views. He’s doing all this bullshit now, like pretending he knows all about economics and Catholicism now, and talks about how he needs to secure a house for his aryan children (his girlfriend is Jewish). Why are people becoming more and more like this? Living off the idea of being something they aren’t?

The more insecure a person's situation becomes the more they seek certainty.

ngl your homeboy (best case scenario) will be a divorced af father with this jewish gal and have a terrible relationship with his children. He's your friend but imho people who fall into the far right rabbit hole like that(based on some relatives of mine who are now Qultists) have serious main character syndrome, like they genuinely might have NPD and the concept of world existing independent of themselves is foreign and anyone who reminds them is being tyrannical/jewish or part of somesort of global conspiracy targeted specifcally at them for being oh so special.
