I can understand why some would support something like communism, but not stuff like Yarvin's dark enlightenment or neo reactionism. It doesn't even sound good on paper. It sounds worse than a cyberpunk dystopia, like a worst case scenario for society. Why would anyone want to go back to feudalism, wasn't life terrible and even worse than today then. Who would want to have low human rights and be ruled over by CEO-Kings? He even joked about turning the poor into biofuel, and then defended it as an ethical way to carry out a genocide. He is obviously a racist and sexist as well.
Apparently many powerful people in tech industry and the republican party. Peter Thiel, JD Vance, Marc Andreessen, and Steve Bannon seem to support his ideas to varying degrees. His idea of RAGE is being implemented by Trump and Musk right now. It would be very hard for his ideal of techno-feudalism to be applied and have the world turned into small city-states as he said, but it's disturbing how his ideas have gained so much traction that powerful people are implementing some of them I think at a large scale.
I can't believe this guy isn't more famous than he is, but I think if he was more well known, he'd cause the republicans to be even more discredited than they already are now. Or it would possibly discredit America more that openly neofeudalism sympathizers are in the government currently.
He's also not really considered an actual intellectual or philosopher despite how much influence he has. He's a software engineer and self taught, which leads him to not be respected by academia I think. Although he was smart and his past of being skipped ahead several grades in school meant something, his ideology seems not very well thought out.
Yarvin also coined the term redpill from the Matrix movie.
You should watch behind the bastards podcast on this to learn more about this guy.
I didn't read this article but I got the title from here.
https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/curtis-yarvin/>Why would anyone want to go back to feudalism, wasn't life terrible and even worse than today then.
Some guy on 4cuck told me that feudal peasants worked less and prospered more because the black plague killed a bunch of people, and that's why we need to deport(kill) all immigrants(anyone brown)
Now try to argue with that guy, or just sent him to a reeducation camp until he's worth operating in society again. That's the guy who would be into this shit.
These are the same type of guys who would fall for Nazism, because they just assume they would live well under it. They're white after all! What do they have to worry about? Except all the draconian rule and being another cog in the machine or waking up one day and being told you're not pure enough here's your train ticket or your drawing looked too degenerate, whatever.
We're not dealing with rational people here. Decades of them yelling about the NWO and here with have Thiel and Musk, billionaire CEO's who want chips in people's brains, have bloodboys to keep themselves young, believe themselves to have some mandate of heaven, etc
>I can't believe this guy isn't more famous than he is, but I think if he was more well known, he'd cause the republicans to be even more discredited than they already are now. Or it would possibly discredit America more that openly neofeudalism sympathizers are in the government currently.
And just like how I've given up on thinking we're dealing with rational people, I don't believe their momentum is organic either. Governments literally talk about George Soros for less
The select the rich ghouls they want to talk about
>>2166782>Why would anyone want to go back to feudalism, wasn't life terrible and even worse than today then. Who would want to have low human rights and be ruled over by CEO-Kings?they are motivated more by resentment for who they percieve as their enemies than they are by what would be a better world for people in general. it sounds too simple, but unfortunately i think it is often that simple when it comes to the figuring out the intentions of reactionaries, ESPECIALLY this kind of timely, trendy, inexplicably cheesy reactionary following
>>2166796the first and only point that matters is that Moldbug is far more influential on the levers of power in the US than Dugin is in the RF. Dugin is a better known name is russia than Moldbug is in america, but thats not surprising because russians read a lot more. they are respectively good encapsulations of anglophone and russophone reactionary tendencies, for sure, so i understand the comparison. but as of the ascendency of the Trump admin & following through on letting Musk have his run of things, Moldbug is by far the more influential reactionary
>>2167167the rate of profit falls over time, which means at a certain point, if it hasn't already, wage labor (only in america) will be less profitable than other known or unknown modes of production. appropriating and selling the digital data you produce posting on leftypol is not just theory, it's happening to right now
and because the market value of digital data increases with time, a future is possible where the appropriator of your data can give you a portion of that value back as a form of UBI for your basic daily needs
this is the future Yarvin envisions
>>2166782You made this thread already last week.
You will never make anybody care about your literally who twitter nerd.
Get a fucking grip. Sort your life out.
>>2167021>You think he received metzitzah b'peh as a baby? You also made this exact shitty post with the exact embed multiple times.
Why are jannies like this that they believe this shit is quality content?
>>2166782I think we have to accept that these people are evil and cannot be reasoned with
Also Yarvin unlike open neonazis appealed to richoid aesthetic sense and their egos
>>2167172yeah they already use our posts and comments and photos on social media to train AI. Every nude everyone has ever sent over social media became training data. Every racist facebook rant someone's grandma made became training data. When you fill out captchas you're also training AI on the tasks in the captcha, which is why they keep getting more abstract over time, because the old captchas are already solvable by AI.
>>2167291As variable capital decreases and constant capital increases, which happens due to automation, industries become less profitable because the commodities they produce have lower SNLT. This is why digital commodities are rented as services instead of sold once like they used to be. Rent has replaced profit in the software world because companies can only make money with a subscription model. But as the companies compete and undercut each other, even the subscriptions become cheaper. And if workers don't make enough to buy things they need, they aren't going to subscribe to software services. They'll pirate instead. The rate of profit is falling despite some counter tendencies.
>>2167318post evidence
>>2167322so when exactly did the rate of profit begin to fall?
>>2167400is rent not a form of profit? to marx, it is a form of surplus value that must by necessity feed on labour power. the conversion of society into a rent economy is just the nature of intellectual property, but if it is truly built on nothing, it wont last very long. if the fear is that it is a competitor to industrial capital, then surely it must be profitable.
>>2167187physiognomy.
also, everyone should check out yarvin's oldest interviews. serious nerd stutter and lack of emotional control. he is not royalty, to say the least.
but this is precisely why the soviets depicted capitalists as subhumans and the proletariat as heroes, because it is this sort of spiritual battle. its likd nietzsche's ubermensch vs the last man, except that all the last men are nietzscheans. lol.
>>2167021Honest question: why the hell are Jews so maligned on this board? Why do so many people on here openly call for the deaths of Jews, claim Jewish identity is inherently reactionary and Jews should convert to Christianity, attack Jewish beliefs and rituals, and overall spew out anti-Jewish hatred?
What the fuck is your problem?
>>2168296Thiel got outed againts his will by some blogger agency which he later destroyed out of spite and still has no bf or husband
Sam Altman however is fully on board with his gayness
According to Yarvin Rome was founded by 6'6 blond Yamnaya steppe gods that later got diluted by the thrall class .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzydTv1f8lYGo to around 1 hour and 4 minutes.
I really don't get his argument, sounds more like a 4chan shitpost.
>>2166782People who look like this would have their face smashed in with my mace under feudalism.
Why is it always subhuman low test manlets parroting these ideologies.
>>2168560its just the myth of the barbarian
after the romans became civilised they started envying barbarians for being some mythic image of their own ancestry. a simar condescensionnis done today where bourgeois subjects will "envy" the "simple" people, especially any underdeveloped peoples as "authentic". its like how rich people say "money isnt everything" or its white people who say "i hate white people". many, many men idolise primitivist aesthetics but would be too afraid of camping in a tent for the night. the point is, the performance of authenticity is inauthentic. what reactionaries dont want to face is that if their ancestors could come to today, they would be amazed, not disappointed.
>>2167642>but this is precisely why the soviets depicted capitalists as subhumans and the proletariat as heroes, because it is this sort of spiritual battleA lot of people here will scream at you talking about how that was cringe aesttheciazation of politics and antimaterial spiritual nonsense and maybe they're right
but so were the soviets, you're absolutely on point too. the average normie won't understand any of those words, but they will see these weirdo nerds who want to turn them into biomatter vs handsome working men who are more relatable
>>2168941well i am a basic moralist
what is the battle between capitalism and socialism about? good versus evil. ugliness versus beauty.
idc what the cynics on this website have to say about that. if the idea of socialism has no normative content, why be a socialist to begin with? you cant escape morality, but only ignore it.
>>2168946Its because many confuse moralism with having a morality/normative foundation of some kind with which to advocate for socialism.
Moralism is however not the latter; Its evacuating all analysis in favour or moral appraisal (whether condoning or condemning).
His ideology is more complicated than just urbanist electronic serfdom, but it is no coincidence that the calcified reactionary elite has always gravitated towards feudalism
>>2168560It is always fun seeing this because its a sort of cope by nerds to justify inequal and hierarchical imperiums like Rome by tying it to 6'6 chads, in reality the chads were always the barbarians and nomads who lived from places to places while the settled aristocracy degenerated into unhealthy, mercury poisoned and inbred aristos who stabbed each other because wealth inequality destroyed social cohesion of a tribal society as Ibn Khaldun noticed all those centuries ago
