Most people here and elsewhere are young kids who became radlibs and communists as a reaction to the increasing amount of right wing content and ideology being spread on the internet and in real life. Some of you have been worn out by financial issues, poverty, problems at work, exhausted by consumerist culture, mental illness, hatred of elites, et cetera. No matter how you got to the left, your experiences are valid.
However, this influx of young, unhappy kids begs the question, are most of you in this for the long haul? Let's say your personal needs are met and you are satisfied. Will you still be a Communist? Will most other nucommies stick with it?
>>2180263Communism is for us not a state of affairs which is to be established, an ideal to which reality [will] have to adjust itself. We call communism the real movement which abolishes the present state of things. The conditions of this movement result from the premises now in existence.
