Canadian anon here. How are Mexican anons coping with the threat of impending doom from America? Honestly, I have no idea what the Mexican left analysis of the situation is right now and I'm curious.

I've also been working on agitprop. Not sure how I should indicate solidarity with Mexican workers.

if america wanted to annex canada or mexico there'd be little to no resistance

hard to believe. mexicans would hide on the mountains and destroy the american army eith guerilla warfare, it would not be a sustainable war for the empire

>>2187111
Mexico there definitely would be. Canada there could be as well depending on how they handled it.

only two replies to make this thread about choosing your favorite bourgeois nation-state :—–DDDDD

IDK anything about unions and other organizations in Mexico. Surely, CUM workers can work together in opposition to American imperialism.

The Zapatistas would, but they're already fighting the Mexican government.

What if the US just armed the Zapatistas and let them take down the Mexican government?

We only completed one fifth of the 150 year plan.
Crossing the Storm: EZLN Marks 30 Years with a 120-year Plan
https://nacla.org/crossing-storm-ezln-marks-30-years-120-year-plan

>National dailies and media channels were quick to attribute the changes to the reality in Chiapas described in by Subcomandante Moisés in the fourth communiqué: ‘’The main cities of the southeastern Mexican state of Chiapas are in complete chaos,” he wrote.

>“The municipal presidencies are occupied by what we call ‘legal hitmen’ or ‘Disorganized Crime.’ There are blockades, assaults, kidnappings, ‘cobro de piso’ [extortion], forced recruitment, shootings,’’ the subcomandante continued, warning people wishing to attend the 30th anniversary that ‘’we want you to come, but we don’t recommend it.’’

>“Organized crime drives Zapatistas out of Chiapas” reads the Milenio headline; “Crime in Chiapas displaces even the Zapatistas” in Reforma; “This is how the EZLN lost control of autonomous municipalities in Chiapas to the CJNG and the Sinaloa Cartel,” Infobae.

<But news of the Zapatistas’ demise is greatly exaggerated.

We can't be paid to care about care about any of our neighbors. If you asked the average Mexican where does Arizona or Belize borders us they would pin point Cuba and Canada.

Only specifically the federal American policy and some nutters over Texas. I saw more news about Mexicans trying to buy Red Cola over coke when the tariffs thing came up.

People are talking about the tariffs about the same rate as Shrek 5 since Shrekxicans are a cultural staple, at least in the facebook groups I frequent.

The hot topic right now is that people are cracking down on the decentralized concentration camps made by the cartels.

Bro that story is crazy. Even crazier is they're not covering it in the US at all. I wouldn't have heard about #lutonational unless I was on 4/pol/. I should follow Mexicans on twitter but I don't speak Mexican.

hopefully workers work together in opposition of capitalism instead :)

>>2187279
lol leftoids

nothing is more retarded than believing imperialism is only when a country literally invades another or that choosing one country over another is of any concern to proletarians

>>2187239

and thats fine. obvious, even

reminds me of leftoids complaining when american workers on a fucking strike werent talking about palestine enough a few months ago

The Zapatistas don't care either. Our elitism isn't hostile like among African countries among tribes, but our natives tend to be very reclusive from mestizos and hwitexicans, and ytxicans are of chilangos, mestizos and other natives reclusive of other natives and and- yeah.
When there is a cultural exchange, such as cross-cultural festivities celebrating diversity or peace, it’s usually between chilangos, mestizos, and norteños interacting with native communities, and vice versa. However, we don’t really have an incentive to celebrate foreigners or outside minorities coming to live among us. For example, schools may organize excursions to native towns, while groups like the Zapatistas visit non-native towns, offering free movies, festivities, and extending an olive branch to anyone who doesn’t speak Ñahacuxuhjojotl.
You see something similar in Nigeria, China and Japan where the identity is diverse enough in a single country that is kinda rare to see in the wild outside of their own social media and imageboards (less so in mexico but you get what I am saying)

>>2187255
That's also kind of what I am saying. There is no scarcity of happenings under our radar because we are already pretty diverse, populated and big.

Even if you live in a mostly native state. For example, did you know that not that long ago there was a territorial dispute between the Super melting put of natives that is Oaxaca and Chiapas?
I can't find a single article about it in English but that shit must have given so much shit to talk about each other considering the context of the 2 states.
