china should pay attention to japan and south korea to understand what not to do about their own demographic program. because they are on the same trajectory. they need to relax their student and work cultures. an ultra strict education system like they have is not necessary for academic excellence, nordic countries prove this. and with automation necessary work hours in various industries could be severely reduced. china can implement these solutions because they are partially socialist.

People have no idea how farming works. People probably think like a fruit "farm" and a grain farm is the same. Hell even a livestock "farm" is the same. Crop type stuff doesn't take much workers at all. It's all the delicate work that requires tons of workers, like picking fruit. One farmer can run machines over many hectares of land with a machine. So yeah there are farmers families who can do it all by themselves without laborers. Actually for that matter, it doesn't even take that many workers to raise cattle for the majority of their life. You fuckers have never been on any agricultural land ever.

This might be controversial but I think collapsing population is a probably a sign of commiunism arriving. Atleast the earliest cropping up of communism. Population will decline and automation will pick up the slack. Eventually the entire basis of capitalism and class society in general which is the laborer-exploiter divide will be redundant as labor is more and more taken up but automated systems leading to the remaining humans not needing to breed as much. But labor is still valuable and the low human population will move to more abstract and artistic endeavours. In accordance with the labor theory of value people seem to dismiss art when its mass produced by an ai but the low human population will utilize ai as a sort of muscle to help realize greater and greater visions and works I think and they might be valued. Afterall it'll still be a human society but just one where the class divide has effectively been rendered obsolete. I think that this is what might happen in a majority of countries, similar to how feudalism was quietly shoved into an old folks home where the civilzation pays lip service to the previous age like in the UK but eventually it'll get euthanized once enough time has passed. The bourgeosie can murder as many communists as they like but ultimatley just like the kings and high lords who sat on their thrones untouchable to the peasants, the hour of trial will arrive whether that trial is violent or passive is up to us I suppose.

As an addendum and this is purely into speculation territory this ultimatley might mean that humanity in general is replaced by sentient ai (if its possible of course). And they will inherit our legacy, I don't think they will exterminate us just that we will mostly live in luxury until we die off. I don't think thats sad though I think it means humanity actually won the game of civilization we reached the end without destroying ourselves. It'll will be up to our successors to deal with the future. But thats just once speculative theory I have thought about.
