Title says it all. They don't work, they worked, their current attitudes act as a burden on future generations going back to what they do in the nuclear family most are just there to sow paranoid and politically inept views. A lot of pensioners in the Eastern Bloc have turned to or outright brought pro-democracy, anti-communist attitudes with the minority still being nostalgic but inept in any Marxist pedagogy that went on. I dare anyone to find a Russophile pensioner and question them on class theory and wage labor, you will quickly come to find out they don't give a shit about theory as much as they care about feelings - its called nostalgia for a reason, all aesthetics, no analysis. The few that believe in class struggle are an almost insignificant percentage compared to the lot which so happens to outnumber the youth population. Most of the demonstrations of discontent with the status quo regardless if you approve of activism or not are mobilized by students. This is also apparent in other places like Turkey. Pensioners in the US hardly have much to do with civil rights orgs, majority being war criminal veterans and liberal former hippie activists (as far as those affected by politics go).
The lot have been driven to support the color revolutions, most being ex-color "revolutionaries" with the few that did not succeed in preventing them being in the minority, again. The few even having been persuaded to join socdem neoliberal parties that brand themselves as red in the demented view that they are still "communist" or "socialist" because they run welfare programs and give them the pensions.
A pensioner is like a home banker, a personal parasite that lives in the family and collects money but refuses to give any to the house's expenses. The ones that live on their own in an apartment, or the middle-lower class are completely susceptible to bourgeoisie charities such as - the church or generally the religious equivalent, neo-fascist & nationalist organizations, liberal organizations (socdems, conservatives, "anti-corruption" parties of the "people" ) etc. Some don't TRUELY believe in them, sure, that's how most parasites are at that, they just eat eat eat eat and never give. A pseudo communist org can do bourgeoisie charity and they will raise their fist, a neo-Nazi org will come next and they will extend their hand. They are unprincipled, too senile for politics, too disinterested and practically brainwashed by television or the mainstream "niche" of the internet - conspiracy video content. The content that attracts them, or at least from what I've seen is 10 hour audiobooks about spirituality and prosperity, spells for money, anti-"gender ideology" conservative liberal schizobabble and conservative liberal schizobabble in general. They are the ones who spam contents and online spaces with useless "prayer" comments. They also happen to be the majority of the world's religious vermin population.
The average pensioner generally holds conservative views and is a reactionary. A reactionary that does not question why things are the way they are but instead skeptical to everything outside the status quo. Cable TV news channels still operate for that reason alone, cable TV is targeted towards pensioners - the majority of the youths have already moved onto internet. Soap operas (Bollywood, Turkish, Korean etc.) have completely destroyed their brains, they have become necrotic and bedbound for them. Try to get a pensioner to turn off his repetitive and banal soap opera series to watch a documentary on a relevant political issue and you will quickly see how mad they become. The pensioners generally believe in a God, that made you for some deterministic purpose and by doing something that they dislike you are breaking the law which is somehow connected to the divine. Modern day pensioners are generally as intelligent as the feudal peasants of history.
The pensioner is a type of creature that is entirely sustained on bourgeoisie government welfare therefore more open to bourgeoisie government propaganda. If the pension is good then the pensioner is happy. If the pension is bad then the pensioner is mad. That is the moment when the pensioner is more like the petite-bourgeoisie class where he can become variable. But how do they respond? By protest voting generally. If the pensions are low, and the expenses are high, they will simply vote for another liberal vermin party. That's how far their brain function goes. I don't see any pensioner adventurists coming anytime soon (like the happy wheels wheelchair guy) self-immolating for a cause beyond their life that's nearing its end and I don't see any of them keen on learning or studying anything, as the saying goes - an old dog doesn't learn new tricks.

I agree. I didn't read anything you wrote, but you're absolutely right : we have to kill old people.

I didn't mention that in the thread. It seems counterproductive.
I just think we need to wait for them to start dying to detect a historic opportunity. Until then we should look at how many of their offspring carried on their views. A demographic change might denote a new zeitgeist. The problem with the "rich old" is that their families carry their parasitic traditions. In fact it would be a better use of time to target their offspring that share their views instead of the already dying elderly.

It doesn't matter what the old pensioners think. The capitalist dichotomy of either corporate welfare and neoliberal austerity is a way to divert attention from the real parasites of the system, the bourgeoisie and capitalism. The frenzy of scarcity and the fear of competition is what divides the workers so they remain weak and afraid of each other. If they are a burden as you claim (which i don't agree for multiple reasons), then at least they just accelerate the process of decay of the old empire contradictions.

fellas is it patsoc to gut social security?

OP here, you're right. Again I don't think we should focus on pensioners, in fact the whole point of writing this was to to convey that it is futile trying to appeal to them. That's all. The entire reason I wrote that bloc of text is to demonstrate that it is futile to appeal to them, not as a proposal of action or anything.
