No more guns for Canadiens. Pretty big news isn't it?

>All rifles are now illegal and will be bought back

>Ownership of handguns still legal but sale illegal, probably will be made illegal shortly.

Who cares about this fake country

That will put a stop to the government assets going on shooting sprees

>>2044
How dare you.

>owning guns legally
like if that made any difference

not gonna work the way you think. the actual buyback and seizure is going to be on a different scale compared to some place like new zealand and australia. it's anyone's guess to what extent this plan in the twisted liberal is actually implemented and there is the possibility of "safe havens" like alberta. the provincial government has been openly against the string of bans and even set-up a "council" of some kind a few years back to get input from the citizens and apparently decide on something.

>Pretty big news isn't it?
wut. do you actually think this is some groundbreaking political event or something
also there'll probably be some sort of compromise i guess

>>2050
We'll see. NZ pulled it off. From what I read Trudeau has this in the bag.

>>2068
>"NZ pulled it off"
>less than 1/3 of prohibited firearms confiscated
>in a country with 1/7th the number of license holders and 1/10th as many guns as canada

>>2073
they ain't trying hard enough

What is the recommendations of /AKM/ for comrades in countries with strict gun laws, where effectively one can't legally buy a firearm?

>>2126
>>2126
Bow and arrow.

great, one less obstacle to absolute tyrannical control is removed. disarming the populace is entirely motived by compassion and never power right?

>>2126
Ive been thinking about doing a cross-country trek here in Canada and Ill definitely got some kind of slingshot when I do. Idk the legality of it but they can be very poiwerful

>>2045
ironically yes, assuming the reason they were going on shooting sprees was to create a pretense for confiscating guns

>all rifles are now illegal
source on this? i tried looking into it and all i can find is that now you have to register every firearm with the rcmp. which could be a precursor to confiscation and/or a reasonable measure to reduce firearm trafficking assuming thats a major issue. i don't know to be worried or pleased

>>2132
>a reasonable measure to reduce firearm trafficking
so true sis!

>>2132

>source on this? i tried looking into it and all i can find is that now you have to register every firearm with the rcmp.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trudeau-gun-control-measures-ban-1.5552131

The principal models being prohibited:

M16, AR-10, AR-15 rifles and M4 carbine
Ruger Mini-14 rifle
US Rifle M14
Vz58 rifle and CZ858 rifle
Robinson Armament XCR rifle
CZ Scorpion EVO 3 carbine and pistol
Beretta Cx4 Storm carbine
SIG Sauer SIG MCX and SIG Sauer SIG MPX carbines and pistols
Swiss Arms Classic Green and Four Seasons series rifles

Apparently there are 1500 "styles" they added to the list but I can't see the list because there website is down right now. Basically seems like they're banning all semi auto rifles although it's strange they don't say that. I guess if you get an obscure semi auto rifle they forgot about, you're good?

Get a 3D printer, and look up the FGC-9

>>2132
registration equals confiscation
>>2135
also look up cnc mills, you can produce shitty ones with a 3d printer and basic materials and they may suffice for making an upper reciever and you can the rest in 3d printed plastic with like a wood or polymer (handmade or injection molded) stock

>>2134
If they didn't ban any new ones recently then there is a ton of good ones available still although registration for all sales is baaaaaaad news

>>2134
ok so this way they can ban basically all rifles without having to admit they're banning all rifles. clever

>>2138
all semi-auto anyways

but in the future i guess they could ban the rest of the guns. they could say bolt actions of high calibre are dangerous, they could say shotguns are dangerous. ban anything of high calibre period. and in the end we'll be left with single shot .22lr lever actions only. and then they can ban those easily too. since everyone will have to get the gun registered it will be easy to force laws that make people hand over their guns or face punishment and confiscation anyways.
