 No.33718

Right-wing games?

I'll start:

Every CD Projekt Red game (Pole company, the most reactionary, racist country on Earth, will always put chinlet propaganda in their games, such as that caricature queer guy in Cyberpunk who's a rapist and smuggler), every TES game (lore is basically about humans, the white ppl of the setting, genociding elves and others and being portraited as good guys, Skyrim is the worst offender), every Paradox game (literal map painters made for chinlets to larp as crusaders, nazis, conquistadors and others who killed BIPOC worldwide)

 No.33722

I don't recall seeing any good guys in Skyrim, except maybe for that one cat that just travels to lie to people

 No.33727

>>33718
>BIPOC
Radlib word.

 No.33728

>>33727
Is not, and better a radlib than a hazcel chvd

 No.33729

>>33722
Khajiit, Orcs, Goblins and Argonians are the only close thing to good guys in TES, really. All the while the men and elves are driven by settler colonial ambitions and always try to turn them into subservient subject, chattel slaves or just murder them en masse, the beastfolk are just holding on whatever territory they still can call home, with the Khajiit not managing to put much resistance due to their country being a confederation of tribes and principalities rather than a centralized government, Orcs often having their settlements razed by Bretons and Redguards every now and then, and Argonians managing to hold out better due to help of their alien tree benefactors and the heartland of their territory being full of dangerous wildlife and diseases that only they can fight off well.

 No.33730

>>33728
>Is not
It is, only radlibs use this obscure term, most people just say "racial minorities" or "non-whites." It became widespread relatively recently, before that they were called "colored people" "people of color" without abbreviation.
>better [shit] then [another shit]
I'd rather die.

 No.33731

>>33729
>their country being a confederation of tribes and principalities rather than a centralized government
WTF, BASED KHAJIITS? Why does it sound like "pajeet?"

 No.33737

how would you make those games left wing

 No.33741

>>33737
It's pretty easy to mod Paradox games.

 No.33754

>>33731
Its weird because they seemed more like Turks and Roma in their inspiration, at least for the "culture of nomadic warriors and traders" part. Otherwise their culture is much less like any IRL culture because of their many physical forms, disdain for the institution of private property and a weird religion revolving around the state of Nirn's two moons.
>>33737
In TES you can simply choose to ignore quests where you help the Empire and other imperialist factions and go around helping random folks or even wage a guerrila war on the human factions. I remember in Skyrim there were mods that overhauled the civil war storyline and included dynamic warzones and patrols, so you can grab these and go on robbing legionnaires and Stormcucks while also cutting down their Thalmor handlers whenever you meet them. Also Beyond Reach seems to be pretty based if you are looking for well-written questline mods that are not just dungeon crawling gauntlets.

 No.33755

You sound no different. Fuck off.

The Draugr and Falmer are just defending their homes from someone breaking in to kill them and loot their corpses.

 No.33760

>>33757
That doesn't make them good, just self-interested in wherever they are in death.
Now, if you were talking about the Falmer that do skirmish raids on random travelers aboveground, you might be able to make a better case.

 No.33761

>>33759
It wasn't even me you're responding to.

I'm not triggered, it's just sus.

 No.33816

>>33718
I wouldn't call Paradox an outright right wing dev. In Victoria 3 worker coops are the best mode of production and the communist and anarchist movements are depicted favorably.

 No.33818

>>33816
Wonder if it's due to the game's mechanics, that would be hilarious.

How a grand strategy game with proper class dynamics would work? Having class interests and conflicts as a game mechanic would be based. Not because I'm a Marxist but because it's such basic shit that everyone who says classes aren't real makes me want to smash their head with a table. It should be obligatory for a grand strategy game to have a proper class system, not to make a point but to be more mechanically nuanced and realistic.

 No.33823

>>33718
They're all rightist, nothing produced in society is free from its source

 No.33825

>>33818
>How a grand strategy game with proper class dynamics would work?
literally Vic 3, each pop has an ideological affiliation like Rural Peasant, Petit Bourgeoisie or Trade Unionist which is based on their job, wealth, and literacy

building different types of workplaces like factories changes the ideological makeup of your population as rural workers urbanize and go from caring about agricultural land reform to caring about labor laws and healthcare

 No.33827

>>33825
>literally Vic 3, each pop has an ideological affiliation like Rural Peasant, Petit Bourgeoisie or Trade Unionist which is based on their job, wealth, and literacy
This is it, Hearts of Iron is trash then, Victoria 3 is the best grand strategy game now. Any grand strategy game that does not have class mechanics is automatically trash in my eyes.

I do wonder if HOI4 has any class stratification mods.

 No.33829

>>33818
>Wonder if it's due to the game's mechanics, that would be hilarious.

It does somewhat. Cooperatives create a huge increase in the standard of living for the workers which boosts their purchasing power which in return boosts the productivity of the factories in a theoretically endless upward spiral.

 No.33834

Victoria 3 has neither decolonization system, neither a advanced diplomacy system and neither a great war mechanic which horribly lacks btw, so france and britain blobs eternally in africa and only get punished if the AI add release nation, so that is the L.
The fun of victoria 2 was seeing great wars starting for crisis and empires shattering at the late game.

 No.33835

>>33829
This sounds incredibly fucken cool.
>>33834
>decolonization
Heeheehee, good one.
>france and britain blobs eternally in africa
That just makes this game better.
>The fun of victoria 2 was seeing great wars starting for crisis and empires shattering at the late game.
Fair point, that does feel more realistic.

Is any Vic game libre? And if not, is there any libre alternative? With class dynamics and everything.

 No.33997

>>33834
Dunno about Vic3, but Vic 2 has a pretty realistic system of ""decolonization"" aka neocolonialism where you give them "independence" but keep them as a satellite/dominion in your sphere and hoover up all their resources.

 No.33998

>>33997
Wtf why is Vic 2 so based?

How did Vic 3 become worse than Vic 2? All they needed to do is polish the graphics and expand on Vic 2.

HOI is a game centered around playing 6 years of war(1939-1945). It doesn't really have any economic aspects at all for the most part so it can focus heavily on the warfare.

 No.34001

By making it about combat and equipment production management, and abstracting everything else. Maybe have a little alt-history as a treat.

I dont browse 4chin, they are all racist and transphobic.
Look what they called TNO devs and they were all in line with KF.
Victoria 3 politics and war system is better now btw.

 No.34021

>>34016
I literally just asked why Vic 2 was better and where Vic 3 failed and why. I don't actually think Vic 2 is better (I'm a newfag to Victoria games) but from what the anon said its """decolonization""" system is awesome.

 No.34022

>>34021 (me)
I'm actually more confused now. Is Vic 2 a better game or not?

 No.34023

>>34021
There is no "decolonization" system. Technological advancement is coupled with population modifiers meant to make the world less and less stable as the date approaches 1936, and financial mechanics are just bad, and the real reason for global depression is a massive deflation crisis. There's also a button that literally warns you that you will break the game, if you use it incorrectly.

 No.34027

>>34022
It might be at this stage because it's complete and has had years of people working on it while Victoria is going to need many more expansions before it reaches completion.

 No.34028

>>34027
>Liquoria
>complete
Nobody actually plays it unmodded. And most mods aren't complete.

 No.34032

>>34028
BAH, what IS more complete? Is it Vic 2 with mods or Vic 3 with mods? I just want to play a histmat TBS that is the most realistic experience possible, I want to learn history and economics through an engaging experience, I'm too pop-sci-brained to use other learning techniques.

 No.34034

>>34032
They're games first and foremost and they don't pretend to be otherwise, even with the pops system the economic and political structure are (understandably) abstract and mostly just tweaking different numbers rather than reflecting the actual relations of the pops. Plus you're given a ton of agency as the player. You might pick up general knowledge about the era covered but it's not supposed to be educational.

 No.34046

>>34022
Vic 2 is by far the better game even un-modded.
The "victoria 2 unmodded is in-complete trash" is just a meme the victoria 3 fanboys came up with to justify just how shit of a game victoria 3 is.
Un-modded victoria 2 is perfectly playable and better than victoria 3.

 No.34047

The degenerate will tell you how "new bad, old good", and then will start suggesting mods, trying to justify singular RGOs per province, sitting in mountains, encouraging bureaucrats, and defending liquor factories.

 No.34052

>>34046
It's definitely good without mods, unless they use some weasel definition like "vanilla Vic2 with Yellow Prussia" in which case nobody plays that because it's like playing Mount & Blade without the Warband.

 No.34060

>>34034
>You might pick up general knowledge about the era covered but it's not supposed to be educational
Sad. And I thought grand strategy games are supposed to strive at least for some level of educational quality.

skyrim is more nihilistic and presents each political faction as equally shit
stormcloaks are pro-nord chvds with a literal racial ghetto in their capital city
empire are pro-cyrodilic chvds but with some elements of globalism and cosmopolitanism (towards the endgoal of mass economic exploitation of colonized groups, of course)
the aldmeri are pro-altmer chvds who want what the cyrodiils have (a continent-spanning empire)
only the city of whiterun is seen favorably for being politically neutral and having a peaceful good-faith multiracial society
