Game is gay as fuck. Play it anons

It’s ok I guess.
I wanted it to be monkey island.

A more adventure game spin on it would be cool, though I think the issues with it can be tied to the troubled development, and the way it almost didn't get finished.

Kind of shows in a lot of spaces of the final product, in the amount of things that were cut, but left in the code (a lot more character interactions, dialogue, areas, etc.).

I dropped this game just because the nerdy fat gay character meant to be the smart one said some dumb as fuck shit about "hurrr the universe so big and humans like so small and shit #existential" it's a major fucking pet peeve of mine to see people saying shit about the universe as if that instantly makes shit deep

i don't like content about people wasting away in a small town more interesting than the town i wasted away in, i get jealous instead of enjoying the escapism or finding it relatable

This. Pretty much my pet peeve, the way they play out that character. Feels really flat in that he ends up acting like that for the entire thing. Though I'd still play the game, just avoid him as a character. There's only one or two times you *have* to interact with him.

I played it right when the pandemic hit and I had to stay home for 2 weeks. It was a nice time, the cool weather gave a nice vibe

unironically, the most communist game I've ever played is liberal crime squad. even though tarn adams (dwarf fortress guy) can't understand politics very well, he basically depicts the "liberal crime squad" as a vanguard communist party without realizing it. The amount of direct action you can do in that game is insane. You run a vanguard party cell that engages in both legal and illegal activity. You can do shit like sabotage equipment, free human trafficking victims, assassinate bourgeois politicians, etc. etc., all while slowly taking over the government. The only difference is tarn adams frames it in an early 2000s bush era american liberal understanding of politics where the liberals are somehow radical proletarian dissidents and the "conservatives" are the only bourgeois faction.
