You know how in DOOM, the guns were all kept cantered on the screen? Well in real life, you’d actually want to keep a gun closely centred in your vision when left unholstered. Such a placement ensures that if for some reason you end up face to face with someone that’s hostile you can immediately shoot without worrying over a delay in your ability to aim. Never understood why more milsims and quasi realistic shooters all universally adopted this weird as fuck offset in each gun’s neutral position.
