Have any of you guys used rednote since it got popularized a month ago? What’s the impression you are getting from talking to Chinese users? I must say I am disappointed. The people have nothing insightful to say. They are like liberals with merely a different culture. They don‘t even sound like they know Marxism. The entirety or their “socialism” is to blindly rely on the government handling things. Their stance on nationalism also sounds contriver and convoluted. They are also in favor of depoliticization which to me just sounds like a cheap attempt at avoiding social issues while framing it as a virtue.

Not to derail the thread, but I must insist once again that this particular common root is the one of the major things that handicapped, if not outright doomed, socialism historically.
Whether its the need reference the individual, or the obsession with freedom and equality, or just framing things with respect to human rights (a notion Marx himself rightfully mocked) its truly a travesty.
I mean to give a paradigmatic example: In the 1936 Soviet constitution suffrage became universal rather than class based, effectively ending a formal mechanism of proletarian dictatorship.
More broadly, the comparison of socialism with oriental despotism was thought of as unsavory to many a soviet intellectual, despite the fact that it was precisely the unitary, centralized & disciplinary aspects that were being targeted, which were by far some of the most effective and transformational aspects of Societ political economy prior to Khrushchev.
Once again I maintain: Socialism should not be conceived as the completion of the bourgeois revolution and progress beyond it. Instead, it should be conceived as the negation of the bourgeois revolution and progress in a different direction.
>>2157960> communist party in chargethere are plenty of party-states in the last hundred years that weren't/aren't communist and are functionally the same (LDP japan, PRI mexico, PAP singapore etc.)
>and black bag billionaires when they don't obey, is just Normal Capitalism Thingsso lemme get this straight… communism is when the government builds cities and arrests billionaires??? yoooo

Doge, ukraine: ethnonationalist schizobabble, soyjak compatibility, "the feds are good actually" rhetoric.
