do you think Che Guevara is the most beloved communist revolutionary or do you think he’s the most overrated and do you also think that he’s homophobic and racist.
>>2177894Idk, in spanish speaking countries he's either loved or extremely vilified. Maybe in anglo countries its different as he fits the "noble savage" trope

>>2177894The man understood some of the core basics of what was required to create an economy that was truly centrally planned and non-capitalist.
At a time when the Soviet Union feel heavily into revisionism and started dismantling the Stalin model of economy, Che Guevara managed to think up the core necessary features of the economy that were required for socialism. As far as I can tell he did this without being aware that this was the case in the USSR prior to Khrushchev era degeneration.
Some key books linked on this topic.
>>2177894>the most belovedCertainly one of its most popular, but for a damn good reason. Man had a hand in ending the batista regime and expanding civil and workers rights for the Cubans. A great warrior and voice of the working class.
His administration and his foreign exploits are somewhat left lacking (though not entirely out of fault of his own). What we can at least attribute is that his experiences and lessons are worth learning about.
>do you also think that he’s homophobic and racist. Not much of his homophobia outside of him being a bit weirded out by some people, and as for his racism, although documented, he was able to overcome this and aid in fighting racism. You think a truly dedicated racist would fight and support Congolese revolutionaries?
The man was a mad lad, no question about it. Wether you love him or not is an entirely different question.
Like it or hate it, Che is the most important historical figure of latam so far, and it will continue to be this way as long as the continent continues to be ruled under the thumb of Washington and their indecent lapdogs.
And yes, Cuba is a shithole but so is the rest of latam. Cubans don't want to go to "escape" to even worse shitholes like Col*mbia, Argentina or Perú, they wanna go to the states or Canada. This point has little to do with Che anyways; he was an important figure in the revolution but not as much in the Cuban nation building that came afterwards.
