>>2194273The idea that the USSR died because it ran out of money competing with the US or just due to economic problems is pure US propaganda. The USSR died because the party elite could not go on without change and the opportunists and capitalist roaders won the struggle over the “democratic socialists” and what was left of the Marxist-Leninists. And they could only do this due to the outbreak of nationalist revolutions. It was a classic Leninist revolutionary situation.
The government of the Russian Federation is simply not divided to any significant degree by competing factions, and there is not great discontent amongst the masses. Most of the non-Russian ethnicities in the RF understand they are better off staying in. Thats why the Russian Nazis are mostly fighting for Ukraine against Putin the great multiculturalist.
>>2195103And MANPAD turrents on every soldiers head. those fucking drones changed warfare. They changed the laws of military physics. No longer is there such a thing a "trajectory". Now explosives are part-helicopter, part artillery shell. And nobody thought about this because in the head of GLORIOUS russian military aKADEMIY staff, drones will either get shut down by EW or the fiber optic cable will get snagged on some tree. And it's not the way of the samurai in general.
Military fucks are the most conservative motherfuckingpieces of shit on the planet. Nobody wants to go into the military unless they zombowashed by the TV or are complete dumbasses.
Those who do want to go into the military want to have their own volunteer units where there isin't a rigid power structure and you can do your own thing and nobody yells at you.
The military is the primary source of faggotry and consequently aggressive homophobia within the post-soviet era. Too many men were raped up their asses from hazing. It's fucking ridiculous archaic nonsense created by old communist grandpas who knew nobody would voluntarily join the fucking army because everyone knows they will get abused there.
Also, same shit in the US military. Those imbeciles love fucking screaming. Stupid faggots.
I hate military fuckers.
>>2195102Drones are not dissimilar to already existing weaponry like mortars and rpgs. Idiots think that drones are gamechangers solely because of videos. Obviously drones are better, but not transformatively so. All those fancy javelins and nlaws were like this anyway, a fancy missile that shoots out streams at weird angles to hit vehicles.
Military strategy guides FOR every country requires 500 men per 1 km of frontline per layer, or something similar. Neither side has such numbers on the frontlines, and that's due to prohibitive cost of supplying such quantities of personnel. It'd have to be 30 km long truck queues for 20k large group like there was in Kiev, it's just not feasible without huge breakthrough in strategy/logistics in the future
This also means that armored fists have a good chance of breaking through because of lack of enemy resistance - but then they get stuck in enemy's rear because you can't bring your own resupplies to enemy's rear
Personally, I'm waiting for idiotic Westoid force stacked to the top with drones to get annihilated by less advanced but composed by the strategy books military
>>2195114>military brainlet copeHellow There its me Again
Andrei Martyanov (fucking imbecile)
>>2195110Nonsense. Artillery is still the biggest source of casualties. Mines are still what is stopping enemy vehicles. Mortars and rpgs are still goto weapons for attacking enemy positions by infantry. Drones are a mix of mortars and rpgs, and don't provide higher mortality whatsoever. They are just more convenient and universal
>>2195116/k/ope more, fpvtard. You can't have big arrows without sufficient amount of troops on the frontline, that's just physically impossible. When Russia had such amounts of troops, Russia broke through straight to Kiev and past Kharkov and wherever else, and no drone harass stopped them despite lack of EW and specific countermeasures at the time. In fact, bayraktars were shut down permanently back then
>>2195114>All those fancy javelins and nlaws were like this anywayAt the cost of a single javelin you can buy a couple hundred FPV drones, which are more versatile.
>Mortars and rpgs are still goto weapons for attacking enemy positions by infantryGuess how they're spotting for mortars.
>>2195119>At the cost of a single javelin you can buy a couple hundred FPV drones, which are more versatile.Yes. This doesn't make drones gamechangers, though, just lifts poor militaries upwards. It's a better use for money than degenerate overengineered rpgs.
>Guess how they're spotting for mortars. Not a gamechanger either. Besides, you don't spot for mortars, you shoot at a square with specific settings. That's why mortars are infantry weapons, and not artillery - you don't require precise spotters
>>2195121Look it's kind of silly to deny the efficacy of small drones when they objectively keep Ukraine fighting against a force with overwhelming advantage in everything else including artillery and air support. People who say that we should ditch everything else and turn the military into a light infantry force armed with wunderwaffle FPVs are dumb, but you're taking it too far in the other direction.
>you don't spot for mortars, you shoot at a square with specific settingsSpotting makes them several times more effective. Are you saying extra accuracy doesn't matter?
>>2195129You think mortar teams are cybernetically connected to drone eyes in the skies? What the fuck are you smoking
Drone spotting boils down to shouting to infantrymen in the trenches of where to shoot and where to go. There are videos with that. It's stupid, in a real military this nonsense is replaced with ENOUGH SOLDIERS TO DO A SWEEP PROPERLY
It all boils down to lack of troops on the frontlines. There's not enough men to carry out strategies by the book. Hence, ad hoc drone nonsense. That's fucking it, that's the drone efficacy
>>2195187Mortar are infantry weapons, same as grenades and rpgs and machine guns. It's imprecise close to the enemy weaponry that's supposed to be mass "shoot and forget" kind of a thing. You shouldn't care about making sure that the enemy was hit, you just throw another charge to make sure
Whenever you play those kinds of shooters, if there is endless supply of grenades and the like, it just turns into explosions everywhere. You don't fucking need spotters for such a weaponry
>>2195221A horrific achievement in Neoliberalism successfully divorcing economics from any degree democratic participatory politics. Only for obviously continuing externalities of production to continue the alienation a populace that now cant materially articulate its own immiseration; anchoring politics around the only dividing experiences still understood in college, culture and politician-as-celebrity.
An ironic 40 year boomerang where neoliberal technocrats downsize the intervenient state and outsourced economic decision making to independent financial institutions to 'purify' market interests off any mass political pressure, only for the 'downsizing' logic to come for the technocracy itself as the sum alienation produces a culture war poisoned political project that creates a vertically parallel austerity agency named after an internet dog begins cannibalising your own management because of 'woke'.
I think we're finally seeing the beginning of the negation of culture war poltics as it has finally seized (to a degree) actual material power, inevitably creating severe friction against economic reality that will punish its schizo assumptions with discrediting failure. Going to be a long way down though.
