This is Changsha city

>massive fucking cost of living crisis stressing out Chinese people

>literally hundreds of perfectly habitable cities that cost less to live in remain empty and unwanted
???

Also the emptiness of much of urban china is fucking creepy. You know how many North American downtown areas are sometimes barren in life which creates a feeling of unease with the fact that there’s infrastructure for people without people using it? Yeah that’s how I feel staring at this

Try harder next time

>>2200201
That’s barely anything wtf. China still has a population of like 1.39 billion people and chongqing is one of the more popular cities. A subway should have far more traffic going on in that image.

>>2200207
subways dont have to be overcrowded you know

>>2200208
This is Chongqing in the world’s second most populated country. Even if it wasn’t rush hour or something it shouldn’t look that barren given how many Chinese are still working.

>>2200208
BUT IT'S NOT *LE PROFITABLE* UNLESS THERE'S LINES AND SHOVING AND 135% UTILIZATION REEEEEEE

DON'T THESE FUCKING MONGOLOIDS UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT THEY'RE DOING WON'T BE *PROFITABLE* BY THE END OF THE FISCAL QUARTER?! Q1 EARNINGS IS GOING TO BE A FUCKING BLOODBATH!!!!!! AAAAIIIIEEEEEE!!!!

Cost of living is not high in China.

>>2200210
If you think Chongqing is not crowded, I recommend you just go there.

>>2200191
It has a population of 10 million people.

>>2200191
what really creeps me out is that everyone works in china so most cities look like that during office/industry work hours

>>2200238
And Chongqing has a population of almost 31 million with a far higher cost of living arbitrarily

>>2200239
Yeah. It looks like the country’s on lockdown at times.

>>2200239
What about retirees and tourists?

Sub /pol/ tier posting. Why don't you switch to live leak videos while you're at it?

>>2200246
Aren’t they all in Beijing, Tibet, and Shanghai? Even then, most are there just for the historical buildings. Almost no one visits for anything else.

>>2200210
>how come not everything is according to a uniform distribution!!!!!!!
gee

>>2200247
Seriously

Chongqing isn't empty of my highly regarded friends. Why even pretend. What's this even trying to achieve.

I'm not a chinaboo but it's false to say housing is expensive in anything other than a tier 1 city. Rents are very cheap even when home ownership is expensive.

>>2200443
Yeah I know. What I’m trying to understand is why people won’t move out of those cities to force down the cost of living more. The only indication that anyone is catching onto how much is available are the Chinese youth

THIS IS A GOOD """PUBLIC""" TRANSPORT
PRIVATIZED AND USED BY THE MASSES LIKE THE CATTLE THEY ARE
LOOK AT EACH ONE OF THEM, YOU CAN ALMOST HEAR THE SILVER REPRESENTED IN EACH ONE OF THEIR FEETS

>>2200207
the city is 82 THOUSANDS km²,it's more than 10 times the city of tokyo while having only twice the population

>>2200484
that's the size of the whole municipality which has 32 million people. The built up area is only 5,472.8 km2

Chinese cost of living is dirt cheap lmao

most of the so called ghost cities have been filled ts is widely known atp, like this post might genuinely be a china supporter posting something easy to refute.

>people want to live where jobs and major social hubs are
what a shocker

>>2203112
100 billion chieneses have died

>>2200191
China having a cost of living crisis, especially compared to the rest of the world, is a very leftypol take i must say.

>>2200191
>muh chinese ghost towns

yes they actually plan their economy so they build stuff before it's needed. impossible for the westoid to imagine, i know.

>>2203891
Thats nice and all, but I'd rather own a home instead of being a lifelong renter (China has a home ownership rate of 98%)

CHINA HATE THREAD

>>2203997
>ownership
chinese literally legally CAN'T *own* their house, it's leased from the State for like 200 years
>but muh practical implications on the Material Conditions of Existence!! it's just semantics\legal minutate
drink an onion , I WANT to OWN my house and do whatever stupid insane schizo shit, I want, to it.

File: 1743344030873.jpeg (1.26 MB, 1428x828, IMG_1932.jpeg)

I’m going to be fair with china

This is Tokyo and what much of Tokyo looks like on a good day too. It’s so empty despite the population and density of the city being huge and only growing. Thankfully, Chinese cities aren’t as bad with emptiness as Tokyo is, but china is steadily approaching that level of… nothingness

>>2204067
erm acktually the temporary lease is for the land and chinese people can legally own whatever is on it like houses

>>2204073
same thing. I WANT to own my land.

>>2204077
kill your petty bourgeois aspirations and accept that the collective has the right to take back your land if you do schizo shit like run a meth lab or brothel in it.

>>2204078
Are you a Puritanical Mormon? WTF do you have against meth you busybody piece of shit.

falung gong slop, actually. HEHE!

>>2200449
Cultural/scarcity mindset thing that causes them to live in Beijing and Shanghai purely for the higher wages. If you tell a Chinese man who wasn’t born in the last 20 years that if he lives in Beijing his life will be far more difficult but he can make multiple times the money, he will go straight to Beijing. Only in the younger generation have they begun to prioritize comfort more than wealth accumulation.

Are you going to post one if those youtube videos about how China is LICHERALLY GONNA CALL APPS IN TWO WEEKS GUISE too you fucking retard.

Also those "ghost cities" are unironically one of the best examples of Chinese economic planning in action. They were pretty empty for the first couple years but they exploded once people from rural areas had incentives to move in.

>>2205719
Ghost buildings also partially exist because Chinese people traditionally like to invest their money in land, not stocks. The issue is that many people who buy an apartment to rent out can’t find tenants because home ownership is very high and there isn’t enough demand. There are many apartment buildings that got constructed and ended up empty because people wanted to buy an apartment in it, but it turns out they aren’t going to live there themselves and can’t find tenants either.

>china le bad
>2 more weeks and china will le collapse
Ok CIA.

>>2204067
>buh buh buh lease from the state!!!
