Are leftist imageboard users the most lonely online archetype that exists? We don't fit in with standard imageboard users, because they are mostly right-wing. And we don't fit in with standard leftists, because we are too closely associated with imageboard culture.
>>2203914It is this reason why you must socialise. Lenin had the secret police breathing down his neck when he organised the Bolsheviks. Makhno was kept in prison away from his friends and yet he was able to socialise with his inmates.
The Greeks under nazi occupation were able to organise and form their own mountain government where direct-intimate-democracy was a way of life. These revolutionaries achieved glory that we could only dream of.
You are living in an age where you have aceess to spy ware and social media which can reach out to dozens if not hundreds of comrades internationally and domestically and organise anonymously. The revolution doesn't need men lounging about on albanian bunker building forums, it needs charisma, energy, and an educated set of cadres who can help guide the revolution and elevate class consciousness, and you can't fucking do that if you don't
GET OFF YOUR ASS AND SOCIALISE NOW WILL YOU FIGHT, OR DIE LIKE A DOG?! >>2203928Everyone on this site is over 30.
at this point anyone not socialising is a lifestyle choice and they're not going to change.
>>2203958>I watched invader zim growing upsame, i also read everything Vasquez produced in that era.
Nobody under 30 says this though and i'd go as far as saying anyone under 30 will say this is all High Cringe. I see through your tricks, anon.

>>2204585You are vastly overestimating reddit's prevelance, they're the same kinda shtt in a different format.
Most leftists seem to be on activitypub or bluesky rn, or getting in on that web surfing thing.
>>2203403>imageculture differently and less insularly.the mods literally banned wojak and pepe memes for being unpure, despite the fact that users here were organically adapting them for their own
I think leftypol speaks to a broader problem in the western left, where leftists often retreat to safe spaces and leave the main spaces to be taken over by rightists (see how we gave up 4pol)
There are some benefits to this, but it also creates insular 'hobbyist' and lifestylist leftists, to whom the thought of even going to 4pol would be seen as 'interacting with the enemy" rather than organising.
>>2205510>>2205510>the mods literally banned wojak and pepe memes for being unpure, despite the fact that users here were organically adapting them for their ownIt's because "gle gle" was decided to be the "board tan." I remember a few years ago someone made a thread to ban soyjacks and pepes and replace them with glegles and it has worked out so well in the years since then.
Not only has glegle become one of the most popular forced memes on this board, through leftypol's modeeration decicisions, GleGle has become one of the most popular memes on the net. Take that 4/pol/! Take that 4chan! You may think your memes are powerful, but glegle is even more so.
>>2205543They banned jaks because sharty was raiding every like 3 days and the falseflagging on /ukr/ was getting rediculous, and pepes were a similar deal if I remember right. That it was about glegle was just a running gag because the first thread to suggest it mentioned it.
That said it's funny how glegle lives rent free in people's heads here. My guess is someone was riled up by
>>>/siberia/641498 's use of it. Makes me wanna start a glegle folder.
Tbh, I'll use this place every so often to update myself on what's going on (both here and within outside socialist groups), but otherwise I don't browse often for my own sake. I've been around long enough since the early days of 8ch with Yui and rebel (unfortunately), the first migration, the second migration, the split, and the petty mod drama inbetween and after all of those, to know that being around here long enough just isn't healthy or conducive to learning. This applies to most imageboards, but at best it wastes most of your day that could be spent constructively, and at worst makes you unhinged and highly alienated from people in the physical world, only percieving them as inhuman caricatures in the confines of your own mind through maladaptive daydream-like behavior. Being here can sometimes be good for socialist learning, but cancerous to being a socialist. Many anons here don't have exploratory nuance or any kind of real world maturity. Hell, I never even went to college and instead work in the trades which is another conversation to have about the hyper idealized or hyper disparaging perspective of the trades and the people here I would have hoped to have a more learned perspective for me to gain from, end up eventually having the worst personalities and takes. In retrospect I realize that most of the learning I did here was having to cross reference stuff to see if something someone said was even true, or even stated by Marx. The few good discussions (particularly in recent years) usually got overtaken by some other petty myopic argument that took over the thread. Yes, you can eventually get gold out of the garbage here, but not after wasting the vast majority of your free time making an effort to do so. And if you have a job or are going back to school, or even just a life with relationships to manage, or hell even books to actually read, that just isn't viable. It takes me an hour or so to browse a book, it takes hours for anons here to "explore" a point between the petty antagonistic drama and snarky condescending immaturity. It reads more like Twitter like most imageboards today then any kind of forum. Sometimes the only thing I get coming back here is dread, at what the state of the board will be, at the possibility of being sucked into something, and at how much time will be wasted when I look up. I would waste 5+ hrs here in combined total, and that's conservative. The amount of platonic and sexual intimacy, of casual and serious learning, of physical and leisurely activity you can have in 5+ hrs is astounding, and looking back I don't think I would have ever realized the full extent of that if I didn't distance myself. This board has its uses, don't get me wrong, and I'm glad that it's here, but the way the most vocal here use it does not seem proper to me. "Online archetypes" are not something you should overidentify with.
