As someone young (millennial) who only recently developed class consciousness and wants to do something (preferably libertarian flavor), where does the left stand?

I ask this because it feels like, even if we want to overthrow capitalism and create a new society, it’s too late and we here just to pick up the pieces of whatever is left. Often people say (even intellectuals) that unions or the labor movement has been destroyed. How exactly? What stops workers from coming together or why are unions so weak? Since we are new generations and the classical tradition has been lost or suppressed, what can we do? Is it objectively more difficult to organize or is it only lack of commitment? Something feels off. As if the entire movement is dead. Only little clusters here and there. Pic related.

30 years old is young. Do you expect most revolutionaries to be 18?

>>2258248
congratulations

you're the oldest possible zoomer

Class consciousness resides in da party not individuals

>>2258231
>libertarian
you mean anarchist

>>2258231
>something (preferably libertarian flavor)
You uphold liberal hegemony
That's where the majority of the Left stands

>>2258231
>Where does the current left stand?
Divided between Marxist-Leninist who care more about nationalism/fascism and Anarchist high on drugs who support NAFO. The situation couldnt be worse but there is room for new ideology and theory and thats exactly what the left needs right now. Some kind of synthesis between these two traditional groups would be perfect imo.

>lets replace it with another liberal hegemony
Nothing to do with socialism.

>>2259650
These are synonymous.

>How exactly? What stops workers from coming together or why are unions so weak?
fall of soviet union making people think socialism is done, globalization causing the fall of worker rights and the massive reduction of industrial proletariat in the west, automation and subcontracting reducing massive factories where lot of workers were together and tended to easily band together and join unions. Also unions have become simple managers of class contradiction of capitalism and their leadership are now class collaborators because they arent communist anymore and so either dont understand the forces at play, or straight up are conscious of their role to manage laborers discontent in the capitalist system

>what can we do

organize, agitate, wait for revolutionary opportunities, denounce opportunists, provide class analysis and alternative medias

>As if the entire movement is dead

its not dead, but it has been infected by liberalism and historical revisionism (soviet union bad) and as such completely defanged

Are you part of the new Anarcho-Communist Federation? I suggest you guys depart from the bourgeoisie spectrum of politics (left wing of capital vs right wing of capital) and identify with the declassed movement tending towards the proletariat. I recommend establishing contact the International of Anarchist Federations / IFA https://i-f-a.org/contact/
