Gramsci is just a leftover from Left-Hegelianism and his so-called philosophy of praxis is trash, just like he is. His whole theory of hegemony is awful and he even borrows his philosophical drivel from Gentile. Fucking Ugo Spirito makes more sense than him.

The conclusion to Gramsci is Right-Wing Gramscianism (ND liberalism)

I can't say anything on him since i haven't read him yet, however when reading the introduction to bordigas selected works where Gramsci and his L'ordine nuovo was mentioned quite a lot, i had to stop and ask myself if this is really the genius theoretician everyone talks about

>‘Antonio,’ I asked him, ‘I need you to do me a great favour. Please find me a complete collection of Gobetti’s magazine. I want to subject it to a close analysis and critique from our point of view of revolutionary communists.’ Antonio understood that my intention was to demonstrate the impossibility and danger of waging a campaign against Fascism alongside an avowed liberal such as Gobetti. With his best smile, which lit up his expressive blue eyes, he immediately replied: ‘Please don’t do this, Amadeo, I’m the one asking the favour.’ I confess to have acquiesced to that tacit, friendly request, and that I never wrote what in journalistic parlance would have been a savage review of revolutionary liberalism.

I've never read him but I can tell he's retarded from his fans.

>Ugo Spirito
No way that's a real name.

Can you really blame intellectuals for making up that Marx was a philosopher or an economist? It's how they make their money, if they pretend otherwise the grift would be up.

Marx dismantled philosophy for its pointless abstractions disconnected from reality preoccupied with unanswerable questions. He did the same with economics, revealing it as a science designed to exploit.

Wolf made the green party yet he hasn't killed anyone for marijuana rights. Sounds like a pyramid scheme to me.

wdym? Gramsci focused a lot on hegemony, i.e. how the ruling class operates in society not just thru force, but also by shaping culture and beliefs in ways that make their dominance seem natural or inevitable. He argued that the working class needs to build its own counter-hegemony to challenge this. He also talked about the role of intellectuals in society by emphasizing the concept of the organic intellectual, who arises from and represents the working class, as opposed to traditional, bourgeois intellectuals who serve the ruling class. He wrote about the importance of civil society, the network of institutions like media, education, and religion, where ideological battles are fought, not just in politics or economics.

>>2267352
Marx was a philosopher, lol. He dismantled idealism.

>>2267468
Marx was a prostitute, lol. He DRAINED Engels' cock.

>>2267468
thesis eleven

>>2267468
>dismantling philosophy makes you a philosopher
Gigacope. Up next, dismantling religion makes you religious.

>>2267466
>the working class needs to build its own counter-hegemony
Of course the intellectual would come to such retarded conclusions.

>>2267476
>nobody can explain what exactly Gramsci wrote about
<here's what he wrote about
>I don't like it
ok?

Why do lib academics love Gramsci?

>>2267474
Marx’s PhD was in ancient greek philosophy…he’s a philosopher

>>2267631
doing a PhD in philosophy does not make one a philosopher

>>2267628
because big brain word hegaymoney
<look at me look at me I am an intellekkkktualll

>>2267653
Debatable. But what makes Marx a philosopher is him doing…philosophy

Revolution in two weeks guys

>>2267352
Just because he was a materialist doesn't mean he wasn't a philosopher and that philosophy wasn't what got him there

>>2267352
wasnt Marx active before either those were officially delineated fields of study?

>>2267476
>noooo you can't just come to a conclusion that's entirely and perfectly consistent with the basics of historical materialism

>>2267628
Probably because the concept of hegemony can be easily adapted to suit left-liberal analyses. Gramsci himself was adamant that class was ultimately the decisive factor in the structure of hegemony, but if integration into a hegemonic structure can suppress or supersede formal class interests, and can be influenced by factors other than class (e.g. how white American proles are more integrated than Black ones into American bourgeois hegemony and more likely to identify with it) then maybe we can do away with the class part of it altogether.

>Gramsci
My favourite factoid about Gramsci is that ᴉuᴉlossnW told him to shut the fuck up and read theory.
And not just any theory, but specifically Bordiga.

I think the only useful thing that Antonio Wolff philosopher intellectual guy did was disparaging Mao's pseudo-intellectual nonsense. Philosophy is useless overall but it's a good criticism to such and such extent.
