Pretty much none of that helps because the left literally doesn't exist in the West in any meaningful form beyond being a fringe largely online counter-culture.
The thing you could do the most to help Socialism, would literally become a Billionare, hire actual competent PR people and staffers, then enact a widescale NGO, media, PR program to help create a pro-Socialist mainstream. Get Socialists in the press, on TV, on the radio, in headlines, get debates between various forms of Socialism in newspapers and opeds etc. Use that to build some form of "Socialist acceptability" in the public discussion, then maybe start funding Socialist/Communist unions etc.
The reality is, frankly, we need A LOT of fucking money, as things currently are, we are functionally blacklisted from any mainstream media narrative or discussion. What happens is that Socialists and Socialism are talking about by Liberals so in the mind of Normies, Socialists are at best all shitlibs who have no pragmatism at all and live in a hippy fantasy world. They never, ever dare platform Marxists or Socialists, that actually can present a appealing, pragmatic program and justification for Socialism.
For me personally what I think is, the Socialist message should never be moralistic, it should always be based on materialist rationality. Socialists need to present an argument, to fucking Baz the blue collar worker or Larry the Office worker, as to how his immediate life, could be easier and more wealthy under a Socialist economic order, than it is under current day Capitalism.
>>2296259Class war exists in a material form and in the form of Unions, wage negotiations etc, but any "organized" Socialist left wing does not exist in any meaningful way in Western society.
Pretty much all left wing orgs are glorified reading groups or debate clubs. The online left, leftypol etc is just a counter-culture.
The average person on the street, has zero fucking clue what "Socialism" or "Communism" or even "Marx" was beyond at most, conservative boogieman words or for sympathetic liberals, Nordic Social Democracy.
>>2296262Capitalists have learned you should capture people's minds first and this is a lesson we should learn, honestly, every Socialist should read books on Public Relations and Advertising.
Social norms are largely accepted from the top down, Socialism as at least a legitimate political and economic topic needs to be deemed socially acceptable "at the top" (in the media), before masses of normies start accepting Socialist ideas to workplaces and such.
Trotskyists love their Newspapers and it's a bit of a LARP now, but you cannot discount the fact, that in the past, there were major Socialist newspapers that had mainstream adoption like the New York Call, Appeal to Reason, The People. It's no coincidence when Socialism was accepted as a mainstream media topic, that Socialism acceptance among Normies was at it's absolute highest.

>buying guns and training with fellow socialists
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, can't unionize without guns.
Getting the tools necessary to build them instead of buying is better tho.
>unionizing
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
>buying some homeless dude a meal
⭐⭐⭐⭐, homeless =/= lumpen anymore because most jobs don't cover rent
>community gardening
⭐⭐⭐, helps but not a main focus.
>volunteering in a soup kitchen
⭐⭐, baby's first community involvement, good if you're an introvert that wants experience working with people
>boycotting
zero ⭐'s, could gain a ⭐ if people understood how it works, but even then telling people that a boycott is a promise to buy something is the company caves in is a truke most can't handle, and usually boycotts are just an excuse to dunk on a company they already dislike and have withdrawn buisness from long before and plan to long after.
>burning a mcdonalds
zero ⭐'s, true neutral + I thought McDonalds shut down because no one talks about it anymore.
>knowing theory and good rethoric to own liberals and fascists in debate
negative ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Being a debate addict actively harms the public image of socialist orgs in the eyes of layman proles. Go touch digital grass and stop platforming fascists so you get get clout for telling them that the sexy m&m isn't turning their kids into transgender furry chinese OSHA compliant immagrants for addrenochromes over and over for a 2 hour podcast session.
Learn theory to have better praxis, not to win debates. If you wanna type stuff make an essay or have dialouges with other socialists.
>doing a luigi mangione
N/A, getting arrested for an assassaination you didn't do is only good agitprop if people:
- know without ambiguity that you didn't do it due to a long chain of cartoonish fuckups by cops trying to frame you
- think you're attractive / look like young stalin
- have memeable name
And even then it really only serves as an occasional vibe check, there's no need to go trying to get framed for a chance at being the next Luigi, Luigi didn't try to get framed.
