Why do people here (especially mods) hate open dialogue on the subject of Israel? It's like having a nuanced view of the Palestine question instantly makes you a genocide supporting philosemite.

I understand that Palestinians have legitimate grievances like land expropriation and a weird internal passport system. These things should stop, along with many other injustices and blatant abuses of state power.

We should, at the same time, acknowledge that Hamas and the IDF are both guilty of atrocities. The IDF often resorts to indiscriminate bombings when they are not warranted. Hamas often compounds casualties by hiding in schools and hospitals, knowing this will be an optics loss for Israel.

This is a complex subject, but for some fucking reason we can no longer have an intelligent discussion about it.(SCHIZO WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST)
