>>2330407I know this guy is fundamentally moronic, but this is a hilarious statement on the Kurdish ethnicity/nationality (it really isnt either and is highly polycentric). But let's go through this line by line
>A diasporaNot at all, there is a clear kurdish heimatland in which the plurality of kurds live. They have substantial diasporas in the nation states that occupy this territory (Istanbul having the most kurds of any city in the world) and elsewhere (Britain and Germany in Europe, Japan, Canada as immigrants, and in Khorasan Province and the Caucasus as historical migrant populations). But to call it "a diaspora" is utterly moronic.
>PersiansSo they are NOT Persians, if they were they would be considered as such by Persians/Farsi speakers. Kurdish is not farsi, it is related but so is English and German. If it was the Iranian state wouldn't ban the official use of Kurdish (specifically Sorani). There is a nation that speaks Farsi outside of Iran (Tajikistan) which likewise has kurds which are a seperate minority within it.
>IraqisArab Iraqis are Semetic, Kurds are Indo-European. Just not the same group whatsoever. Kurdish Iraqis are obviously not the same as arab iraqis, otherwise we wouldn't distinguish between them.
>JewhadisNon-existent slopterm.
>American mercenariesHow the fuck do you think the kurds can pay for american mercenaries? If you are talking about Rojava, it is true "anti-jihadis" went there but most of them pissed off are they were made to read marxist-leninist theory lmao.
>Israeli SoldiersLiterally no documented evidence of this ever. It is worth reminding everyone that during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon, it was Kurdish (and Armenian) Marxist-Leninist militants who fought with the PFLP and then trained together. As a result of these conflicts there is a yearly (although cancelled since 2023) festival where Kurdish revolutionaries go to a west bank town under siege to support their mutual efforts towards liberation. >is actually a precious ethnic group that’s a thousand years oldIt isn't a single ethnic group, More of an umbrella forced together by alienation from their Arab, Turkish, and Persian neighbours. Kurds speak two main languages that are refered to as "Kurdish" (Kurmanji and Sorani) which themselves have dialects, and there are other varieties of Kurdish alongside them. Predominately sunni muslim with substantial minorities (Shia, Alevi, Alawite, christian, and even jew!) along with the fact that Yazidis are likely kurds who retained their pre-christian polytheistic believes although yazidis and kurds both see them as a seperate group. We have records of Kurds from the islamic caliphate yes, and likely ancestors that predate it to (although not confirmed into antiquity it is very possible the Coerdene are ancestors of the modern Kurds, and a national myth says the Medians are although that is now hotly contested). Along with the fact that "El Kurdi" is a surname precisely because kurds were distinguished from Arabs.
I know you dont care about this, but others who actually posess the ability to learn might be interested.
