Not reporting is bourgeois

I’ll admit, I genuinely didn’t give a shit when I heard that India and Pakistan were bombing each other, I didn’t give a shit about any of the trump related drama, and I didn’t give a shit about the Iran Israeli garbage either. What amazes me is how apathetic everyone else was despite being aware of all these problems.
Just look online and you’ll find hundreds of videos of people just standing idly by while missiles are being set off and everyone is just totally zen. You can tell these days that marginalization, privatization, police violence, and systemic abuse globally have left the most leaders’ attitudes on politics to be completely out of sync with normal people. Even the bourgeoisie is currently in a reputation crisis among tje people it exploits with the whole musk drama shitshow fucking over whatever patience tje average person had for the rich left. People just really don’t care about the rich or politics as much as they used to.

They're not apathetic in that video they're celebrating

>>2330472
Nah. If they’re celebrating, then that means that they care less about the total lack of safeguards against pre emptive violence ravaging the Middle East and more about Israelis getting bombed for being evil (again). It’s not entirely out of reason to celebrate, but personally given the middle east’s history, celebration when bombs are going of wouldn’t exactly be my first priority of action as opposed to hiding underground to make sure I’m not on the receiving end of a potential misfire

>>2330479
They are Lebanese. Of course they are celebrating. Shut the fuck up and delete your thread. You are a total and utter imbecile who doesn't know shit about ANYTHING.

>>2330484
Don’t worry anon, I know about the beruit explosion, being attacked arbitrarily by Israel, and Lebanon’s rather bouncy history with success and regression. To the average Lebanese right now, I can understand why one would *prefer* to celebrate given how much shit has gone on in that country with Israeli aggression in the past few years. However, that wouldn’t be the smartest response to celebrate in favour of taking advantage of the chaos to rebuild back national security, preparing for the potential for being bombed by these missiles, and arming oneself and community.

>>2330492
>However, that wouldn’t be the smartest response to celebrate in favour of taking advantage of the chaos to rebuild back national security, preparing for the potential for being bombed by these missiles, and arming oneself and community.

Ah yes, it makes perfect sense that a bunch of Lebanese drunk from wine during a Wedding party would immediately share the same autistic geopolitical notions of an imageboard autist instead of having an affective response. This is something a totally normal person would assume.

>>2330500
Yes? You’re watching missiles go off and your first impulse isn’t fear but to throw a fucking party about it? Do you think no one else in Lebanon has thought of preparing properly now that there is a chance—much less the Lebanese army?

>>2330503
>Yes? You’re watching missiles go off and your first impulse isn’t fear but to throw a fucking party about it?

Wow, it's almost like they have spent all their lives living in a war zone (which you haven't.) so they are used to constant and near daily violations of their airspace. Ever been to. Korea when a rocket alarm goes off? No one gives a flying fuck.

>>2330508
Yeah I can see why they would be stuck in a constant war zone if your attitude towards war isn’t to prepare to defend or prepare against it but to let your guard down the moment you get any win. Again, I’m pretty sure members of Lebanon’s national security force have already begun responding appropriately to the mayhem by doing whatever they can to make any preparations for potential escalation of the violence. The same idea applies to the share of Lebanese citizens smart enough to recognize that this is their one chance in years to make their lives slightly more peaceful.

>>2330515
>Yeah I can see why they would be stuck in a constant war zone if your attitude towards war isn’t to prepare to defend or prepare against it but to let your guard down the moment

Exactly, war doesn't mean permanent siege. War means people still marry, get children, have one night stands, have drinks at the bar and have birthday parties. Life goes on. I know it's difficult to comprehend to a softie like you who only knows war from shitty movies.

>>2330534
Wow you’re actually dumber than I thought. I don’t want to imagine what you’d look like telling someone in Lebanon or really in any country to halt all efforts to prepare for any form of conflict just because exactly ONE war either ended or is in decline.
Do you think militaries and politicians suddenly decide to stop putting money into militarism in times of “peace?” (Which in contemporary history really just means you’re fighting less organized groups like militias, terrorists, or hangs instead of armies, larger terrorist groups, or entire criminal organizations). Ignoring that, preparing in times of peace or when you’re in an advantageous spot in history has proven time and time again to be the best time to prepare for war ever. That’s why North Korea and china have remained generally way more peaceful compared to countries like India despite the ladder country technically being more involved in wars than the former two.

>>2330544
>Prepare for conflict.

Dude you are so out of touch. The 'conflict' has been going on for decades. You quite literally have no idea what you are talking about. Fucking embarassing. I will not read any of that drivel you call posts anymore, mods do your job and get rid off this shitstain for breaking containment from the general threads.

>>2330564
Thank you wise one. Lebanese shouldn’t be trying to keep up with the Israeli military’s aggression because they have been fighting Israel for decades. Lebanese people should simply sit back and let Jews bomb them and steal their stuff because fighting and preparing for getting your ass beat is simply too much work :/

>>2330569
Sarcasm aside
This type of lazy mentality toward national security is explicitly why somehow all of Europe is now finding itself scrambling for military funds and panicking over Russian aggression thanks to relying on the Americans to cover their sorry asses for decades meanwhile the Russian federal government has both been prepared for military expansionism and dealing with the effects of being sanctioned into oblivion. Early birds or something, you get the point. Coming ready for conflict matters more in the modern day than ever and countries that cannot be bothered to defend themselves or plan ahead end up paying the price for it in being caught by invasions or stuck in forever wars unable to resolve the conflict by their own hands.

>>2330503
>You’re watching missiles go off and your first impulse isn’t fear but to throw a fucking party about it?
That actually does sound very Lebanese really. Read a book about the Lebanese Civil War and foreign correspondents were regularly struck by the sight of Christian women sunbathing within earshot of raging gunbattles.

I can't find it now, but there was once an ad for a Beirut nightclub that was built underground. In the ad, a couple leave the nightclub, go upstairs and step foot outside, and around them is a destroyed city with rubble everywhere. They gaze at it a few seconds, then look at each other, shrug, and go back inside. Then the ad said something like "it's better underground."

>>2330698
I hope future Lebanese generations will get the idea that their parents are idiots for not responding appropriately to the never ending violence they’ve dealt with. That type of behaviour is analogous to not bothering to flinch when someone is throwing a punch at you.

>>2330717
Don't worry, we won't.
t.Lebanese

>>2330717
what exactly are they to do, faggot?

2330841
A lot actually. Here’s a *brief* list of things Lebanese people can (and to an extent already have done) do to make their country safe from Israel:
• Buy and make their own weapons—which could include bombs, guns, vehicles, drones, ammo, etc.—from whoever is already is selling them weapons
• arm their population with guns
• train people physically and with whatever weapons they have on them
• support and fund vigilante and militia groups to attack Israeli positions and to set up their own camps to defend their own territory
• build more defensive networks to sabotage Israeli aggression networks
• collaborate with the few middle eastern allies they have to find more weapons and security deals
• supply weapons to anti Israeli forces just to have them fight that Zionist regime instead of having to fight Israel head on
• spy on Israeli soldiers and military positions
• stockpile military supplies in safe houses while gradually recruiting as many Lebanese people as possible
I could keep going but I’ll stop there. Any of these choices alone are preferable to whatever unserious shit the Lebanese are doing right now.

>>2330890
Only a fraction of a population ever actually participates in combat scenarios or is even dedicated to military development because it comes at the cost of not doing anything else more productive. This has nothing to do with "apathy" it's just economics questions.

Are you all seriously having a cry about some Lebanese people celebrating the Zionist Regime getting bombed? Because I'm celebrating too, and you're invited comrade /o/
