Picrel: an abomination.
>DEATH=LIFE
Good luck explaining that to your average Joe!
>Muh PHOENIX (mythical creature from like an irrelevant 2000 years old folklore) is like, totally ASHING itself… Uhm… in order to… Uhm… something about property relations I added to this
>>2371759The term "propaganda" designates ALL speech and written acts that was said/printed in the hopes of moving the general population TOWARDS a certain political goal.
"Agitation" should be considered a subset of "propaganda," being marked or highlighted by its quality of trying to move, rouse, or push people (mostly in speech and visual medium) by appealing to their moral sensibilities.
So for example,
>STALIN.JPEG being bung up in every soviet institution back in the dayIs an example of propaganda,
>Shouting about in a speech how rent prices are too high and we need to imprison landlords for their parasitical behaviorcould be considered "agitprop".
I hope I could have helped.
>>2371771>STALIN.JPEG being bung up in every soviet institution back in the day* hung up
Sry
>>2371773I'm kind of shocked by the absolute states Russian proles and peasants found themselves in, especially the
>overcome coldpart.
The misery they were in is NOTHING like our "worst off" ppl experience. Like, you could be homeless in London, for example, but you could still recieve state-mandated shelter in the winter months.
Sure, I'm aware of the fact that thousands of homeless ppl freeze to death in Western countries every winter-period in 2024, which is an insignifact % compared to the concrete size of the reserve army of labour and the lumpen-proletariat, but it still strikes me that official Bolshevik propaganda thought it to be wise to include "not fucking freezing to death" among its major propaganda points. Obviously, this must have been a MAJOR problem back in their day and back in that historical context.
And I'm kinda perplexed for being perplexed, for I have known that Russian society was almost completely illiterate, with like 30% of children reared living up to the age of 18, and completely curable diseases culled millions every year…. Still, I'm kind of shocked about this "cold" angle. I did not realize this before, tbh.
>>2371787And out of 4 points they put it in the propaganda poster as number one
Like, bruh
>>2371776In a sense, yes. In a sense, no. I have a diploma in the humanities (which only means that I had more pussy than u) so I think I'm qualified to say that some metaphors (etc.) suck ASS, while others are adequate, or great. OP picrel is a case of sucking ass, not because of appealing to a mythical creature, like a unicorn, but because the whole thing is completely fucked from the very beginning
The
>LIFE=DEATHangle is just indefensible from the very beginning. Slapping onto it some kind of reference to ancient greek mythical creatures is just purely pathetic.
>>2371787Worse is that freezing to death wasn't just a concern for the "homeless" or "lumpens", you could be a proletarian and freeze to death because you probably lived in one corner of a rotting shack that makes a favela house look like a mansion, while spending all your waking hours working at a factory.
"subsistence wages" and "means of subsistence" aren't some abstract thing, it is literally the minimum cost of keeping the proletarian alive, and in those days if something happened that put the proletarian below the means of subsistence, they'd die.
People have no idea the things they take for granted, that were won through life and death struggle.
But it's also cool to think about how despite the collapse of the USSR, the revolution's effects can be felt even to this day, in that we're still reaping what they've won
>>2371796>I have a diploma in the humanities (which only means that I had more pussy than u) You're a weird guy.
>so I think I'm qualified to say that some metaphors (etc.) suck ASS, while others are adequate, or great. OP picrel is a case of sucking ass, not because of appealing to a mythical creature, like a unicorn, but because the whole thing is completely fucked from the very beginning Man your ChatGPT diploma didn't really give you any training because you write like a retard. The Phoenix is a pretty widely understood expression/concept. Like the word unicorn, there is no problem with using the word unicorn to mean "rare," everyone understand what it means.
>The>LIFE=DEATH<angle is just indefensible from the very beginning. Slapping onto it some kind of reference to ancient greek mythical creatures is just purely pathetic.Your reading comprehension skills are like lower than HS level.
>>2371805Really I think your level of understanding you've demonstrated is like elementary school level. I'm not just insulting you. Are you just playing dumb for dramatic effect? Can you demonstrate you actually understood more than you have so far?
So far all we have is:
>DEATH=LIFE>LIFE=DEATHand
>I know what a Phoenix is. >>2371801Thanks a lot for this post.
I sometimes wonder what picrel book would have looked like, were it for Engles born in Russia.
>>2371849>Engles*Engels
Sry
>>2371810>>I know what a Phoenix is.This being the most fascinating aspect of it all. "
REEEEE, I KNOW HOW 2 PHOENIX" is one of the most hilarious shit I've read this month.
>>2371743The OP's image only has two problems:
Colors are complete ass for readibility
The design makes no sense.
But the message is alright
>>2371950 (u)
>>2371939 (u)
©Ome back @me when (u) become human, narcissist! >>2371981>uygha, youd'be executed for doing shit-tier and anti-communist work like this, regardless the country, specific century, or specific revolution.yeah it's "anticommunist" because ummmmm it just is ok
>>2371982yeah being against the burger government makes you like Hitchens… the neocon who supported the Iraq war
Reminder: John Brown said pic related which is "just way too crazy for the average joe"… except a few years after he slaughtered slave owning scum and said these words at the gallows thousands of men were marching in a civil war which ended up to end the thing he was precisely aiming to end.
>>2371796>I have a diploma in the humanities (which only means that I had more pussy than u)I'm married and have children in America. I make median annual wages. I'm literally the average Joe. I understand the flag ITT just fine and I'm not scared away by it. But in a reactionary imperialist country that needed a civil war to get rid of slavery when all the other British colonies had it legally abolished at an earlier date, maybe it's the correct message. We Americans are perfectly capable of seeing that the government (Amerikkka) doesn't work for us (Americans). We are perfectly capable of seeing that it poisons us, causes mass shootings, destroys other countries, destroys the climate, creates a global migration crisis, outsources, sanctions, embargoes, coups, imposes austerity, busts unions, overworks, underpays, and in a word, exploits the whole world with over 800 offshore military bases including torture dungeons like Guantanamo bay, while building monstrosities like "Alligator Alcatraz" and deporting people who aren't even from El Salvador to some concentration camp….. the flag is perfectly comprehendible under these conditions.
