One of the most common downsides of leftist economic policy is wasteful spending. Indeed, bureaucracy isn't perfect, gets bloated easily, and goverment employees with no incenitive to do better would fare WORSE than an employee of a private company in the same situation.
That said, both capitalism and socialism are just ways to allocate resources and distribute rewards for producing them. There's a billion things to be said about socialism resorce wise, but what critiques do we have against capitalism?
Are we making too much of useless things while we could've been making something else? e.g sex work
Are we NOT making something we should and can make? e.g housing
Are we wasting something when we could've distributed it? e.g foreign aid
Pose the most egregious examples ITT.
