I'm okay. Been walking the dog (Pitbull, ironically enough) and spending time with friends. My best friend's mom is dying so I've been trying to be there for him; they're having some hard conversations about whether to continue Chemo or not and he wants to suggest Ivermectin. Yeah it's a bullshit "cure", but that ain't my place to say it.
Oh, and I'm looking at some career opportunities at work. Might end up going corpo. The commute would suck but the pay would hopefully be worth it.
Oh, and I'm still trying to work out a way to play Mage: The Ascension with some friends.
Hope everyone is doing good.
>>2383032Good
What is the difference between DSA and CPUSA
>>2383032Happy to see my arch-nemesis is fine
I shall be the one to take you down, nobody else
>>2383032Make money in corpo for 10 years, save money, buy a property on the coast of Mauritius, get citizenship
But no Pittbull please
A pittbull killed a kid here once
Never again
>>2383033Historically, ideologically?
The DSA is a big tent for Socialism, which might make it a better electoral vehicle. The CPUSA still sticks with Marxism-Leninism as its ideological framework, but as with any Communist Party you'll get the next party over claiming it's revisionist or what have you. I think the CPUSA has stronger international ties than the DSA at present; even got a chance to meet with some Chinese young communists and they were extremely pleasant.
>>2383034Eh, I try to go through life not considering many people "enemies". I mean there are people I hate, sure, like Felix for example, but "enemies" is a bit of a stretch.
>>2383037If he's filtering his name I'm not sure why, not like I bother using the filter on responses.
>>2383039Honestly if I were to move anywhere, it'd maybe be the Pacific Northwest, but I think California's just the place for me.
>>2383044nukes do not exist
it's a massive psyop
>>2383047For the most part, yeah. Think there was this old joke that the Soviet Ambassador told JFK I believe, something like: "Mr. President, we're your biggest supporters!" We used to run candidates back in the day, then there'd be some directives from on high to support the Dems because Republicans would nominate guys like Barry "launch a missile at the kremlin bathroom" Goldwater. And in general the Dems have made more or less "okay" moves towards other Communist states like Obama thawing relations with Cuba.
Funny enough I believe it was in the Clinton Administration that there were private talks about easing up relations with North Korea, only for the incoming Bush admin to say "Well you can try, but we'll just undo everything you did within our first week of office."
So it's kind of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" deal. Part of having international ties, I suppose. The DSA seems a lot more vocal about despising the Dems, whereas some of the older folks in the CPUSA have this attitude of "Well you've got to be committed to whatever course your on, if people see hesitance then you're undermining your own cause"

Ive already disputed the 'Obama thaw cuba' thing before. It was a big nothing burger. I am amazed how you are able to fool yourself into believing it, but oh well..
Personally, I think the trump administration has had the most leftist foreign policy in the last 70 years
>>2383056>Personally, I think the trump administration has had the most leftist foreign policy in the last 70 yearsThey've been squeezing Cuba tighter.
At this point I don't care about the distinctions, it's clear "Left" is such a fucking broad category as to be meaningless at this point and leads people to completely different outcomes. It's clear what I personally would consider desirable is vastly different from what the other guy considering himself "Left" wants.
Like I want us to move away from this unsustainable economic model towards something that helps the largest number of people live a dignified life, and Felix wants his weird murder fantasies.
>>2383060all American govts have squeezed Cuba as tight as possible
trump's policy is leftist for American standards in the sense that his aggressive words and actions made EU states question the certainty and validity of NATO. They are not quite NATO-exit, but before trump it was unthinkable that they would even have a doubt about NATO. His tariffs means that countries are thinking twice about assurances concerning the USA.
Anyone who hates trump's foreign policy is in fact afraid that America loses its imperialist position. Anyone who wants to see the destruction of American sees that Trump is preferable to Biden or Obama or Bush. Because Trump does not try to offer explanations, fake human rights blah blah, Trump states imperialist policy AS IT IS.
>>2383054>The DSA seems a lot more vocal about despising the Dems, whereas some of the older folks in the CPUSA have this attitude of "Well you've got to be committed to whatever course your on, if people see hesitance then you're undermining your own cause"I'm more partial to the CPUSA view mainly because I just don't fucking care. Run as a Democrat, run as an independent. Do whatever you want. I think people think of the Democrats as being an actual party but it's really not. It's a ballot line. There are no membership dues! You don't have to love Hakim Jeffries. What is actually standing in the way are billionaires and their money. But the party is a hollow shell.
There are these leftists in the DSA talking about making a dirty break from the Dems, but it doesn't mean anything.
